Most valid point.If language was the only creteria,then 5-6 northern states wouldnot have born.

Good question, and include in that list Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, HP, Jharkhand, and Chattisgarh also because all these states have Hindi as their official language. But who will explain it to marathis?

Just like anything driven by pure politics, this issues has also many people using remote control for their benefit. Unfortunately we as a country aree gullible enough to understand this.Are there not enough trouble of poverty,education, health etc whoich needs to be addressed than silly issues of state boundaries.I think an independent committe should be formed which should have a suo moto to arrest people making inflammatory speeches.I think it is high time that people rise above these chaunistic mindset and collate their energy for the bigger benefit of the country

But the question is that in all these interstate warfares, why the common factor is marathi people? They are fighting Andhra, Karnataka, UP/Bihar, Goa, Tamilnadu, Gujrat for a long time. Why does one state have so many enemies?

IN KONKAN PART OF MAHARASHTRA,MAJORITY OF PEOPLE SPEAK KONKANI.INFLUENCE OF MARATHI HAS OVERSHADOWED CULTURE OF KONKANIS IN MAHARASHTRA.MARATHIS HAVE NEVER ALLOWED TO GROW KANKANI AS A LANGUAGE.KONKANIS ARE ALSO LOCALS NOT MIGRANTS .IT IS BETTER TO MERGE SOUTH-WESTERN PART OF COASTAL MAHARASHTRA WITH GOA IF THE LANGUAGE IS ALONE AS THE PARAMETER.

You are wrong. These People Mother tongue was Kannada. They Speak Marathi Because of Rulers from Kolhapur And Pune. Since they were MArathi. It is 60% people in Agra and Hyderbad speaK Urdu. So do you want them to Transfer them to Pakaistan?
