Navy Officer killed in accidental fire.
by Ahi Sen on Jul 07, 2010 01:47 PM

Chance and accidents are aliases of ignorance. The reason for the death has to be probed seriously to fix responsibility. I condole the death.

From when did a Naval commander's death start affecting relations between two countries unless you are implying that the Sri Lankan navy was behind this incident. Separately, why should India be bothered about and try to prevent Chinese investment in Sri Lanka unless the Chinese are using Sri Lanka as a base to launch anti-India activities?

Haven't you heard? Lankapat's favourite pastime nowadays is to imagine pitting India against China and fantasize getting the best of both worlds.

Of course his President doesn't agree. Because all said and done, no power can replace India in the southern seas.

Dear Ravi,
Please do not worry. India is a peace loving nation. Whosoever is the Adm Jamwal's successor will also ensure peace. Any trouble maker, be it from Pakistan (or for that matter Sri lanka whom we consider as our cute little neighbour) - their a$$es will be thwacked so hard that they will solve their internal problems on their own without begging for their neighbour's help :)
He will stand by the sides and watch. Only if he sees that the people are absolutely insufficent and incapable of handling their issues, then he will step in. Of course, then stepping out is his prerogative.
Its unfortunate, but you see, when a kid bro gets naughty, big bro has to step in ;)

Practice or perfection?
by Krishnamurthy Seshan on Jul 07, 2010 01:32 PM

How idiotic it sounds that in a practice session officer of high rank like Admiral gets accidentaly killed,in a firing range.Either no care was taken (It shld hv been)when pracitce was on OORR it was a case of perfection, what shld hve been on reality. If this much of care is during pracice then, what would bein real time. GOD save this Indian mentality.
