Madhwa, your writeup suggests that you are out of your mind. I am not even sure if you understand what you have written. People like you should be kicked out of India. To have heard the news of the unfortunate passing away of a senior Naval flag officer, we should mourn and pray that the departed soul rests in peace. Instead, you decided to bring in the "Hindu-Muslim" thing in this without even knowing what has actually gone wrong. The scary truth is, more then the terrorists, people like you are the enemies of this great nation. My thoughts and prayers are with the Admiral and his family.

Second in Command and cheif of staff is not hte head of a naval command. It would be the Flag officer commanding in chief called as FOC-in-C and will be a vice admiral.
Looks like the negligence that is usually seen in police is gripping the armed forces as well. I still remember the INS Satavahana training where sailors used to handle small arms with care. You cannot handover or take a weapon from your colleague without checking its lock on the trigger. Given the professionalism our forces have, this looks fishy.
Incredible to see how much cynicism there is in the posts below. Everybody wants to speculate that this is not an accident and that this is a murder.
This cynicism reflects on how badly our society is doing and how untrustworthy our people and institutions have become. We dont give the benefit of the doubt to others anymore and we are positively sure that the other guy meant to do harm or evil. If we continue this way, we can only harm ourselves further.
There is a news doing round that Kerala is an ideal state for terrorism, since bulk of people from kerala are in Muslim dominated countries. These devil's civil population is for money only. Hire them by lure of money & U get yr job done besides easy for approach being from Musli dependant people for survival.
What is the real reason for this, was he stopping some illegal activity, or was he about to expose something sinister, it looks like he was bumped off and they are all calling it an accident, this has made Indian navy a laughing stock all over the world, time the defense minster take responsibility for once and resign.
