Truly it is a sad day for he was a fine solider who strove his utmost for the glory of the great Indian armed forces. A man of great poise and integrity, he will be remembered by all Indians as a true Indian. Adieu, Sir! may your soul rest in peace.

its a great tragedy and the navy has lost an invaluable officer. The cause of the accident will be probed but the life lost cannot be relived. My heart felt condolence to his wife and children. It will be befitting if Omar Abdullah recognises his service as he is from Jammu and honour him posthumously.

are you joking? a politician from kashmir will never felicitate somebody from jammu and in this case, the dead man´s religion will alone decide if there would be an honor
In the death of accidental firing,we lost one of our serving officers in Rear Admiral Jamwal Our heart felt condolences to his wife Geetha and the two children. But we can not still understand as to who pulledtriggeraccidentally and why the entire matter is shrouded in mystery as if it is a classified information If the accident causes panicky reaction on the part of public, then the secrecy surrounding it is worse. The question arising in our collective mind is who is at fault, the trainee or trainer? The Defence Ministry should come out with correct answer to prevent the public imaginat ion from going astray about the quality of trai ning.
Sir stood 6 feet six inches tall without shoes and was one of the best body builders of the world, though he never took it professionally.
Personalitywise he was in the line of superman, Arnold, Batman etc.
Anybody who new him will gasp in disbelief since I had a clear faith that if there is some one who should lead indian armed forces, must have the personality of the Rear Admiral Jamwal..
It is impossible that he died of an accident..only a foolish will believe this version
I too an exserviceman and would like to know how they can be so irresponsible in a firing range. That too, a Rear Admiral been shot. Can't digest this story. Surely something is there behind this which will never come out as it is from the Defence, whom we have given all privelege to say anything they want and hide anything they want. Only the great lord will be knowing the fact

normally the generals order their men from back but this great man would have done it from front. Hence the tragedy.
I have heard about this gentleman through my nephew who is in Navy and has associated with him in many commissions.

NO, "Mahabharatha" was not a myth; that was a history; research done by the scienties in one of the Universities in USA proved that there was a "Krushetra War" held between Pandavas and Kauravas and the scientists even outlineded the month, day, time of that war.

Ok... then read this....
Dronacharya Award is an award presented by the government of India for excellence in sports coaching. The award comprises a bronze statuette of Dronacharya, a scroll of honour and a cash component of Rs.300,000. The award was instituted in 1985. As the best sportsperson award is named Arjuna Award, it is appropriate that the coaching award is named after Dronacharya, as he was the Guru of Arjuna.
