Succesful Vandalism
by Partha pat on Jul 05, 2010 04:39 PM  | Hide replies

Indian politicians s cannot help the country but whatever progress has been made has been successfully vandalised so cheers we are going back and we will also go further back. India is a country of emotional monkeys so if any country wants to go backwards they can take a cue from India.

VOTE for Dynasty : G.K.PILLAI
by Kolappa Pillai on Jul 05, 2010 04:36 PM  | Hide replies

I appeal to people to vote for NDA which is against dynasty rule. Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu had supported price rise hence the citizen should decide about UPA. The old prime minister has made India poor. Ramdev

Bandh are useless as it does not serve any purpose.

All aprties are useless including NDA who are shedding crocodile tears over fuel hike .look at their own report card..

During NDA's tenure, crude prices went up to $36.25 per barrel from $12.50 per barrel, with
total increase of just $23.75.

But the UPA had faced a 411 per cent hike as the crude prices hit the $139-mark in June.

Even so, the NDA increased petrol prices 21 times and diesel 24 times and did not even spare kerosene.

During the NDA tenure, the price of cooking gas or LPG cylinders was increased by Rs 109.60 in a span of five years.

In the UPA period, in four years, the total increase has been Rs 83.15.

All these parties are usless...India needs president rule now...

Ok.For a discussion sake, what you said is right, what will a president can do for this hike?Though the president can do something, she can pass a "veto" to reverse the prise hike now in the Joint meeting of Lok and Rajyashaba, and that is allowed by the Principles of the Law.
She can act as a people's head, and cancel the hike, suggest alternative measures.
Who will forward this to her?

In a long time, the bandh of today, has been spontaneous and supported by a large number of people. Ofcourse, there are the hard core supporters of the Congress who will will otherwise. It will be wise on the part of the congress to introspect and take some action to mitigate the angst of the aam aadmi. Lest, their support gets out of hand.

There is NO WAY that I support this strike. Yet, I did not go to work today because of the fear of the violent, uncivilised opposition parties. The bandh s surely not going to reduce inflation. On the other hand, it increased my hardship because I lost a day's salary.

There is no way I will vote for the stupid opposition parties whose policies/actions are so dumb.

@aloena dsa.I think u r a millionaire as you are not been affected by the price rises.FYI since the UPA govt has taken charge, The BPL(below poverty line people ) has increased. some people cannot have a square meal a day, still you are saying that the bandh has increased your hardship, when an aam aadmi is suffering everyday. If you compare NDAs performance with the UPA1 & 2, it was far better better than the present Govt.Atleast the prices were stable.

The political parties came together in India today and showed its citizens how capable they are with their army of goondas all over. I could see right from my window how they harassed people trying to go out.

After seeing that I decided to stay indoors. I guess that makes it a "Voluntary" decision.

Pricing of petroleum products
by swami pudipeddi on Jul 05, 2010 03:39 PM  | Hide replies

All those who are against price rise should vote against the Ruling UPA II and its allies whenever elections take place to any office. It should be ascertained whether the pricing formula followed is correct or not. Earlier several experts opined that the pricing was incorrect and as a result of this the petroleum companies were registering loss by comparing its product with some other unreal price. If the Cntre takes away the power of imposing sales tax on this item and pass on a % to sate Govts. based on the sale of these that took place in that particular state or prescribes a uniform rate of sales tax through out the country or levy a cess like education cess in IT Act and accumulate a big fund which takes care of the variation in prices. This will staibilise price and as a consequence price control of various other items can be ensured.

Price Rise is a National issue. Unfortunately it does not spare people on the basis of Religion, Region, Caste etc.

The only people unaffected by Price rise are - Businessmen, Industrialist, Bureaucrats, corrupt Govt employees, Cricketers, Film Stars and Religious Guru. Actually price rise is the tool for them to become richer.

The current fuel price rise is a huge favor from the Govt to Mukesh Ambani.

No Boss Government is not sleeping it is very much waking and aware of the situation. Gov knows another four years they donot have any problem in ruling the Country . Cong says they are with poor! But they have made their life worst in last 6 years. People who are rich can manage some how but what bout those daily bread earner or people working in small enterprises where salary hike is minimal .Gov employee get some sort of compensation from govt enterprises but think about people work in shops ,small companies where salary structure is not like Govt or MNCs.
It shows that present gov does not care about the people and you see same government at the time of Election will various schemes for poor and farmer in order to get their vote . Congress knows Minority votes (MUSHLIMS) are assured irrespective of any situation.

A political commentator has said that "Voters memory is short, but it is not that short as the UPA Govt is thinking. Sometimes voters take decisions much in advance."

C0ngress led Govt is thinking that people have chosen them even after failing on economic front, so taking it for granted. But people are watching that the poisonous trend of 4.5 years of price rise and 6 months of goodies during elections is back.
