most of the Indian public have come to realise that the Government or the Forces cannot do anything. One has seen on few previous occasions also, the hesitation by the defence forces to decisively act... May be, due to the so called nuclear weapons Pakistan possess. Net result is that people of India will have to live in fear and anxiety while spending thousands of crores on defence forces! No strategy, absence of proper planning and indecisiveness on critical national security issues are the good recipe for leading a nation to dangerous consequences..

At the time of cold war between US and USSR every US and USSR citizen were prepared. Every house in these countries had underground bunkers / a shelter.
We don't even have underground parking in most buildings in big cities.

Since Pakistanis as egged by their patrons from US & China have little to bother if they respond by Nuking Indian Metros just as we mount Cold Start.Two our own inefficiencies of Mobilization and Mole infected Strategist Plans would most certainly be known to those who should not come to know of them Often we Pat our own Backs by sying that such inefficiency is built in our Open pluralistic Democracy.,A very wry tribute to our Form of life.In any case it would be difficult to bring in its place worthy implementers of Grand Strategies.
