MATRIX
by shyam patel on Apr 27, 2010 10:09 AM  | Hide replies

Good article,

In my earlier blog I wrote Congi Matrix...but i think hardly anyone noticed. If you have watched Matrix movie then you will realize the fact.

It just keep you in dream...and ground reality become so severe that you can't do anything but just to die.

People are either sleeping (Not watching real news, and watching saas-bahu on their spouse demand) and are doing harm to their next generation...people are so self-centered that nation interest is nowhere nowadays.

I remember one fellow on news channel angrily telling that he would not tolerate if anyone intervene his choice of fun...with reference to SS protest for MNIK...I don't think that he would tell same things to china on land grabbing issue...It's our Hippocratic nature.

Looking to french revolution, I feel we are not only physically but mentally slave and that's too deep rooted.

Ground reality becomes so severe that the common people vote for 'Congi-Matrix' again?. Stop pretending that you know better than the rest of the people. Common man votes for Congress, the economic firms vouches for India's growth. Some politically dissatisfied souls cry themselves hoarse at every chance they get.
Naxalism is an internal problem and a grave one. Even the US had a civil war in its history.

Criticism is part of journalism and that's what he is doing.

Just feeding with good news is very harmful.

IPL while India sinks!
by Gautaman T on Apr 27, 2010 10:02 AM

The IPL and now the alleged phone tapping are dominating India Inc's agenda, instead of the above. We'll wait till China gains supremacy in the sea and Pakistan builds up its warring and insurgents sponsoring capability. The politicos are as usual concerned only with power, pelf and (false) promises. Jai Ho!

House in Order
by Priya patel on Apr 27, 2010 10:00 AM  | Hide replies

The writer should be told that, First Internally the House should be in order, to be able to focus on external thing.

Here, is a situation, wherein you add up 100 million more to Below poverty line to create a few individual Billionairs in forbes, there is acute power shortage in India, when a few assorted individuals involve in Power guzzling tamasha at Night, Dont want to pay Entertainement tax when the state has made Rs, 4,000 crores loss.

Its these sort of governance thats a breeding ground ground for Maoist to Thrive and gives currency to its ideology.

Don't worry Sir, Lord Shiv will save us all . . . . and the Bofors Gun will help us in doing so. We have been a great nation in the making since 1947. Don't forget that. So what if we are faced by nations with fudamentalist points of view to Mankind and the Universe?

Sometimes I wonder if our media which will stoop down to any level to help the Congress is doing this on purpose?

I am mean they are knowingly putting the country at risk just to make more money.

Very timely and alarming article.

indian media
by nirmal toshniwal on Apr 27, 2010 09:48 AM

indian media is either owned directly by politicians or indirectly--it has no national agenda --agenda is to cover interest of the political boss--reason the huge amount of advertisement revenue doled out to media by govt authorities selectively to favour some who are pliable or owned --the tremendous useful tool in times of elections to state or centre-useful to fool public at large to catch votes--very recent example of CM ASHOK CHAVAN -case with election commision--outcome will be known only after he completes 5 years--what is media in india--anything but national& rational???

but what soultions do you suggest, Mr. Srinivasan??
by Ashok Rao on Apr 27, 2010 09:26 AM  | Hide replies

If you want to be taken seriously, you must do more than cry wolf. What do you suggest that India do:

1. In Afghanistan? Before that, keeping in mind that we do not even share a border with Afghanistan, should it be considered part of our top strategic concerns?
2. About China's building up of her navy to protect he oil supply routes? Before that, isn't it absolutely obvious that the real target of China's naval buildup is not the Indian Navy, but the US Navy, which toady absolutely dominates the Indian Ocean?
3. About Naxalism? What do you suggest we do? Use the Air Force against our own citizens - yes, Naxals, too, are Indian citizens, which you seem to have forgotten?

You won't find any willing volunteers among our Air Force pilots, I can assure you. They have a sense of honour about who they fight. Poor rural people driven to desperation by absolute poverty may even get the Air Force to fight on THEIR side instead of yours. Better be ready for that.

Ashok ji, so you mean that we should not do anything to solve these problems. Or you do not see them as problems at all?
Your explanations are really foolish. Does Sri Lanka have any common border with China? Why does China need a tactical port in there? You think it is to counter-balance US Navy?
People with attitude like yours let the Naxal problem grow so much. It should have been solved 10yrs ago. That means, involving tribals and making administration work for the local population. But when naxals start killing people, then you have no other choice but to stop it. Then a process of reconciliation can begin.

I am really sad to see comments like yours here on rediff. We Inidans are epitome of the statement - 'Common sense is not so common' afterall.
