We are our own worst enemy!
by shiva on Apr 26, 2010 07:14 PM  | Hide replies

Like the postings here often show, we have no focus. If one of us succeeds, many will try to belittle the achievement by any permutation & combination possible. Likewise, we have a democrazy where we are addicted to a system where good people queue to elect the bad people! Most who seem to have all the solutions, even a magic wand, stay on the sidelines with - things are bad going to be worse etc!

IPL is a tamasha that just wastes our time! Why spend millions of our money for some clubs & foreigners play? Most are past their prime even! And the greedy want their hands in the honey-pot! Those not able cry foul!

We are faced with an unrelenting world where the fortunes turn faster than in a twenty over match! The China factor is just on the ascend & US is feeling the heat. Nothing is possible without the dragon's nod! The baddies like N Korea, Iran will have to agree if China does not support them. All our neighbours also know which side of the bread is butter!

We are a divided house. We are putting out the fires set by us all the time. Can we take any hard action? Damned if you do, & worse if you do not! There are many in the sidelines who will cry foul after the events!

Our hard-earned freedom will remain as we look like a mental asylum! Of course, China gets attention as they mean business. Even countries like Russia want to be left alone! We get what we deserve!

Shiva,

your presentday assessment is Good, thats the starting point , what I am interested is in Waking up INDIA- and there are RHYME AND REASONS in commom persons mind to discount outside world to keep himself productive and sane, Most more than 85% cannot Survive in harsh Compitive environment where there is no respect to human life and every thing built around MONEY or For Politicians, VOTE.
Than Development of Sratigic thinking Doesnot Develop as it relates to CIVIC LIFE OF CITY, STATE and NATION.

We who see through Indian Life in Ground can Change ,we can complain, but that has no benifit-It add to INJURY TO INSULT,What it requires persistance and efforts.

Mahendra Patel,
The world has moved from need-based to greed-based living. One square meal a day was good enough when we got freedom
with a roof & bare necessities. We survived on pass down clothing of our older siblings.

The young are different. They need more bedrooms than people. Family is spouse & child! The gadgets have to be renewed as & when new arrive! The bottom line is chasing a mirage with unhappiness assured. The older generation, especially the women are the bed-rocks to give support for now.

The poor was always there, even in the animal world. Some are not taken in the group & have to forage on their own & even killed!

The sad issue is the govt is expected to have a magic wand. But when distractions like IPL take our time & energy where is the time for anyone to clean out the rubbish? Yes, the govt is bad but who we want as a leader? If you name, many will shoot that person down in no time.

Obama came out of the blue. He is not one of them but he is cleaning out the cup-board of dirt that was not of his making. Ever slowly, he has to withdraw his head in one piece. But his countrymen accept him as a leader. They know they are facing a one monolithic specimen, China who will throw more weight around!

If we do not keep our poor's interests at heart & willing to do more - each can do but little but each will do that little all will be done!

We will do our part per our capacity( Yatha Shaskti) and in the field in which we are proficient.

Now, USA was lucky this time to have a rare empathetic, wise, intelligent, caring, Good orator,a world leader, which bring back USA from brink of big disaster to back on path of recovery.

This said,I do not see any one in any party at present, well let's start where it need to be at HOME with each INDIVIDUAL.

Plus Mother INDIA has produced GEMS and I am sure more will be coming.
