Balan Iyer
An Eye Opener
by Balan Iyer on Apr 27, 2010 11:39 AM

A beautiful and realistic piece by Rajiv Srinivasan
which should jolt the Govt and its people into real action. His line "Chinese help for Indias quixotic
quest for Security Council Seat" creats a tragedy-comedy sitution, wherein Nehru of India rejected per
manent seat in Security Council some 50 years back
to avoid antagonising China. While any Interest in
Sports and Films is OK,our Mad Obsession with Crickt
and Bollywood Bombshells going to ridiculous prop
ortion must end as this has blocked us out from the ground realities available at home. The article has
also highlighted one naked truth that, We are Total
Failure in the Department of Public Relations as
there is nobody to support us.

India Shining
It;s a Warning to all Indians
by India Shining on Apr 27, 2010 11:20 AM

Only aPorki gets angry when his great ally China is spoken of negatively in any article. And there are several on this Forum such as GiveanNid. I think everyone who is cursing this article needs to read a book called "The Bear and the Dragon" by Tom Clancy. It was written way back in 1999. But it gives a very true picture. Only, instead of Russia in that book, put India instead without any NATO support. And you will get the picture of what awaits us by 2012, by when China's naval build-up will be complete and all the strategic ports they are building as well.
Make no mistake.. once China attacks, CongiGoriMem and her entire family will run away to Switzerland with whatever money they can loot immediately before running.
If you don't want to read the book, look it up in Wikipedia and get to know the gist of it. It will shock you as to how true it sounds. Very simple logic... the Chinese Govt is doing a huge arms buildup and their economy is overheated with all the infrastructure investments. With this, their economy will not be able to sustain and they will need to get free resources from somewhere. Best way is to attack a weak and natural resource rich neighbour. The obvious target is India because Russia is too strong. And the resources targeted would be the Northern Iron and Coal rich states and the KG Basin. This has also been predicted by some astrologers for 2012.

Nice to see Rajeev back...
by Nitin Darji on Apr 27, 2010 10:37 AM

Rajeev sometimes goes over the top with regard to China, otherwise his articles present a picture which normal readers may not be aware of, which is good to see. His is a different point of view from the mainstream Indian media, of which many points are true.

Fiddling while the country burns
by CHETAN PALAN on Apr 27, 2010 10:27 AM

It is a very Nice article& very Much eye opening.

We Indian are behaving emotionally rather than being level headed. We get carried away by emotions.

I remember during kargil war more importance was given to cricket matches going On & the coffin controversey .

However,we must prioratise our work &Look at developmental work including the work & emphasis Given By the author of the article.

I also fully support the view that journalists rake up not very important issues very much so as to increase viewership.

We should shun such Journalists & TV channels & ask them to make a Better journalistic work so unimportant work/ issues do not take away the precious time.

Thanks & regards

Rajiv Srinivasan's fixation with China
by giveanid on Apr 27, 2010 10:23 AM  | Hide replies

Rajiv Srinivasan's fixation with China is not new. Until a few years back, Rajiv wrote colomns upon colomns on how CHinese economy is going to crumble, how it will overheat, how edifices are going to be torn down etc. Readers can check out the archives to his older posts.

It is only because his dire predictions on the huge Chinese nation building efforts have been proven false that he is not repeating them these days !!

Perhaps he hopes that no one will remember them.

whole world specially china and USA is behaving in a sneaky, secretive way as to build enough hysteria which happens to be true as the years are passing..its time we should put serious thoughts to every conspiracy theory and positively build our nation to protect well from outside as well as within.. i will definitely read this book..its always better to be informed than rather being m@r@n..

100% truth
by gaurang patel on Apr 27, 2010 10:23 AM

The above mentioned facts are true & they are written without any political bias. After long time there is again good article on India & its surroundings. This time no truth is being made hidden. Everything is clear that our politicians have tons of money to invest in ipl but they don't have funds to modernise our army & navy. They are still repeating what our former PM Jawaharlal Nehru did when it comes to China & Pakistan. Our security lies on our self-dependence. Give indian scientists tasks to modernise indian army,navy,air-force. Don't rely on any other nation except self-defendence. Also talk tough when it comes to China & Pakistan. Our ball-less,spine-less politicians are ignoring core issues & going for ipl like issues which is kind of shame. Also the media under the influence of congi govt. is doing unnecessary coverage.

Media in the hands of Mafia
by VB S on Apr 27, 2010 10:21 AM

It seems that the media is playing in the hands of mafia or dirty polititians. People have lost faith on the Indian news media and the credibility is very low. There is no sensible reporting rather it a sensational reporting.
