Civic Sense!
by Ravi krishnan on Jan 13, 2009 01:09 PM  | Hide replies

The bullet train is certainly welcome but before that a few things must be set in order.
1.Human waste being splattered across the entire length of the railway tracks has to be stopped. The british railway system has a collection chamber ( self flushing) at select yards. This waste is collected without human involvement and goes to incinerators.
2.We are used to execute many things on 'As is where is basis'. We do not think for a second before throwing waste through the window of a speeding train, bus or even our own car! We need stronger measures with steep penalties as a deterrent.
3. Kind sized 'Rats' are a common sight in all major stations including the capital.Be rest assured that the delicious samosa has had some face to face meetings with the Rat before it has reached you!. Get some cats in the railway stations to diminish this menace.
4.Beggars in the railway station have to be evacuated however insensitive I may sound.
5.anyone found violating hygiene or the rulebook must be simply deported at the next station, big or small.

Everybody will agree with these basic requirements and discipline among travelling public. Everything is taken for granted in our country and once u r out of home, u feel free to spit, smoke, shout and urinate at available corners and allys. If objected to, u feel that ur freedom is at stake and democracy is in danger! There is no enforcement of law when we have the maximum laws in our country. We do not follow what we legislate. Well, Lalu should travel by the recently introduced side midde berths in sleeper coaches to find out how difficult it is for an 'aam admi' to get into the berth and out of it. The railway board members should also travel by these side middle berths to know what comfortable travel mean to the travelling public. It is a mockery of the public sentiments. We tolerate everything in this country and the Babus and politicians enjoy all the tax payers money in travelling by airconditioned dedicated trains specially run for them during their inspections and visits. At lease the trains built by British were very comfortable and not so cramped as of now. What is the use of high speed trains when the existing trains are not upgraded. Why a Japan visit at tax payers money.

2. Complete smoking ban must be practiced.
3. Ban on the entry of unreserved/wait listed passengers into reserved coaches.

Lalujee is Gr8
by koul binny on Jan 13, 2009 01:08 PM  | Hide replies

Lalujee is great because after becoming Railway Minister he proved that he is profit maker minister. He has shown how to earn profit and also get fame by fooling people.

1. Fares have not increase but other surcharges are increased like cancellation charges and if you are booking trains from non journey station you have to pay more.
2. Tatkal is divided into two groups peak season Rs.300 for AC and 150 for Non AC. Non Peak season Rs. 150 for AC and Rs.75 for non AC. But they charge peak season charges for whole year.
3. Many Express trains, but their arrival and departure are same but superfast charges are added into it.
4. Many trains cleaning and maintenance is in hand of some private firms, because they have their advertisements at railway coaches.

There are many other such points, and we people are praising him without any knowledge.
We are big fools and let these people rule on us

hey shhhhhhhh,
hush man hush,
He is Bihars only Gaurav , like Bengal has Saurav,
And they are both very sensitive about it.
So just Lalu is great , and be the adaptive Indian that you are.

Indian children are taught not fight, always to keep quite. He has compromised half his life out there.

When this child grows, he is asked to fight for almost everything.

From getting a good girl in marriage, ( sex ratio my friends ). to getting a job ( employment lucrative in major American headhunters only ) , from getting a rented house, to getting a auto

But he has been taught ti be polite.
He adaptablility is a matter of jealousy for the cockroaches too.

What is highest vote percentage in your constituency? We have 88.78% in Tirumangalam and we plan to do a record of 150% in the coming parliament election. That shows TN people's faith in democracy. If you have already done that achievement inform TN CM.He will definitely defeat you.

3rd middle aisle berth
by RR on Jan 13, 2009 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

I just saw the 3rd middle aisle berth today when I went to recive my relative.

So pathetic. The guy has to be accomodated seating with the other three which is a punishment for the other three. The two aisle UB and LB seems to be precious as its comfortable than the 4 seater on the other side. This guy will get some crooked idea to make our life more uncomforatble. As it is nobody now wants to travel anymore by sleeper class, its like general compartment nowadays thanx to ram vilas paswan who is other guy with filthy ideas.

The system of 3 berths in the side is very much inconvenient to all the 3 passengers using it. Railways should immediately abandon it. They should immediately remove the 3rd berth already put.

The top aisle berth is even more difficult - an average person find it difficult to get up there - there is no head room, and one has to get in through the midspace in a lying position - hope Lalu give it a try to get into the top berth - a sane person should understand when explained, but these guys probably need to have first hand experience. Start a campaign to remove the middle berth to retain the previous two berths for comfortable journey.

Have you ever seen a complaint book or heard of complaints actioned?

It is the ministry's responsibility to have the system working. The people pay them taxes. If we are supposed to do everything, why do we need to pay taxes?

Of course, even rats can make it to rajdhanis now. Surely, a can do mentality.

By the way, he got a free ride in the most expensive city in the world (obviously would be staying in an expensive hotel as well interspersed with business class international flights). All this was with taxpayers' money. I don't see the achievement.

I don't exactly understand your point.

The railway minister is supposed to head the Indian railways based on taxpayers' money as funds. Asking the common public for suggestions is not at all a bad idea. However, there are officers to serve those ideas already.

Besides, the point of "making railways better" comes much later. At the moment, it needs to be working properly. And rats in AC coaches are NOT the way to go.

How do they dispose off Shit in Japan

Lalooji ,
All the stations in Mumbai smell of muck particularly in the morning. The outstation trains coming into Mumbai during early morning are partly responsible for this . Please study this problem in right earnest before returning to India. Thanks !

It is not Lalu who makes our stations mucky, it is due the behavioursers of we the Indian. Dont believe, see the condition of newly inducted local trains in Mumbai, see the way we spit and decorate it.
