Hope he will not....
by chandrashekar nayak on Jan 13, 2009 12:46 PM  | Hide replies

Hope Laloo will not introduce fast Trains in India. At 60-70 Km's an hour speed, Indian Railay is spending Rs 200-300 Crores a year to give comphensation to Train Accident victims @ Rs 50000 per person. At 300 KM's an hour speed... God should save Indian railway passengers.

not to bilittle any one, but i would take a safe guess, that its not all laloos doing. railways were on the mend and his timming was right for being in the right place at the right time.

shrewd as he is, he sure has made it better for himself by not jumping around too much and or making too much noise about it personally

1. Railways is NOT a profit making org. It is a service providing org of the govt (funded by us taxpayers).
2. He increased freight charges of essential items like steel, thus adding to inflation.
3. Charges were introduced by him for booking tickets from any station other than the originating one.
4. Charges were introduced by him for booking e-tickets. I am surely surprised with this.
5. Condition and service in coaches is poor. So is the food. Surely, he is making money by reducing the quality and quantity of supplies.

All ministers are bullshit!!!
by karan on Jan 13, 2009 12:36 PM  | Hide replies

Guys,we all know all the ministers are bullshit except few. Then why we vote them and bring into the rule.Instead of writing the scraps here, raise ur voice and do some action by joining hands together and bring those leaders into rule who actually wants to work for the country. The biggest bullshit example is failed UPA,lungis wala gov and more over president pratibha patil who just is always om a world on common man's hard earned money. Will appreciate if Modi/Rahul is our next PM and not any other...

No doubt Mr. lalu has bought some fascinating changes to the Railway Culture, but has spoiled the Structure of the Railway Travelling. He is balancing all the things so that the People shall not analyse the bad things what he has done... Jai ho Laluji ki... Budda

Trains in north india never on time during winters ...
by Venkatesh Babu on Jan 13, 2009 12:35 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Lalu claims to put railways in profit ... Not sure how he has succeeded in that, but from the service view point, the north indian railways has increasingly become corrupt, and also the services are deteriorating day by day ...

I did travel in couple of trains in UP and Delhi recently. I was horrified with the way things happened inside trains and in the railway stations.

Thumbs down to Railways ....
