Something Fishy

Looks like the government wants to toggle on name of funds lackage or state and central government ownership to implement right to education till next lok sabha elections. When you can have thousands of crores for elections, using EVM's(illiterate using EVM's), free subsidies and schemes to make people beggars and slaves , spending crores to move illiterate people for your dharnas, and speeches, spending thousands of crores for the vote banking schemes on name of Gandhi's , or spending thousands of crores of public tax money for personal or political party propaganda , bearing loss by reducing petrol/diesel prices before elections etc. Why would be that difficult to collect funds for Right to Education which in long run yield more benefits than wasting money on name of free subsidies or schemes. Why don't the government contact IMF or World Bank for loans howing the investment on education too as an asset which yields unmeasruable benefits in long run.

In any case, every exam is optional. Shilpi, nobody brings police to your house to go and appear in any exam!
But I kept waiting and that azzole V P Singh died without getting treated by OBC doctors, despite having given them reservations. I hope you also die one day, but ensure it happens while you are getting treated as Niraj said.

Its not a matter of reforms. It is to ensure the only thing praised overseas about us Indians 'education' is also lowered to the standards of Italians and Germans who own Congress.

The moron want's everyone to learn hindi so that hindi can become the lingua franca of india. that is not happening my pakjabi delhi freak friend.
Central government has no right to take over the federal structure of the constitution. This is dangerous. The Nehru dynasty is playing on a dangerous ground.

Educational System - In our Country
by siva none on Aug 31, 2009 10:06 PM  | Hide replies

All students must be assessed from the fisrt level of education-age 5 or so.An evaluation of this sort till the 2 level will lead for a clear guide line for the student to choose a suitable educational qualification - be a doctor, an engineer, management graduate etc; Till such time, a system is developed, higher education will be a lucarative business for politicians and their counter parts.

And once the system is developed, you would see the politicians and businessmen's sons and daughters getting best continuous assessment ratings while you can go scr@w your wisdom and skills.

Education fiasco
by Bodh Ramdeo on Aug 31, 2009 10:00 PM

The entire eduaction system needs total overhaul, starting with elementary schools right on up to universities. If the netas and babus are too stupid, inept and incompetent to come up with a workable system on their own, then they should look outside the country to emulate the systems that do work.
Even the few existing govt-run 'schools' (dilapidated shacks) are mostly non-functional, as either there are no infrastructure (desks, stationery supplies, electricity etc) or no-show teachers, or both.
Worse, not a single state govt has so far, found it 'expedient' to enforce the rules to ensure that teachers do their jobs.
Unless there's a system in place to hold teachers accountable, then all the money in the world wouldn't make an iota of difference. For starters, all truant teachers and callous uncaring administrators should be flogged and fined for breach of trust, dereliction of duty and unprofessional conduct.

Educational Reforms
by DilipVishnu maydeo on Aug 31, 2009 09:52 PM

The principles outlined by C.Govt HRD Honcho are devised to make education as a capital intensive commodity like real estate where education will be restructured to put a robust mechanism for capitalisation o the desires and aspirations of Indian students. The focus is to establish profit centres that cater to development of steriotype products who will perfectly duplicate the systems of frigidity and inaction on every front. This will be done subtely and opaquely giving cosmetic refurbished stale and secondhand educatonal syste of Lord McCaulay. We dont want govt to interfere with higher education where non interference by govt will deliver results. What we require is education of middle class masses to provide utility based outputs. This involves having well designed and resourseful libraries in communities and setting of 5000 Industrial Training Institutes and Polytechnics to churn out Drivers,Waiters, plumbers ,Tailors ,Electricians Housekeepers etc and assistants in various trades at middle level.Including farmhands and conservancy staff.Highly structured education at the apex and complacency in profession based education should be done away with.Educational reforms have nothing to do with capital finance. They are a position paper with theme generation from knowledge corporaations.Thereafter you require system to impliment with existent infrastructure to generate experience followed by a flawless inspectorial system for assesment.Reforms are neither business nor vote banks.

In India, Eduation System until 12th standard is fine and far better than other countries in the world.

But the standards or System after 12 Education is worst and Top 10 from bottom.

Thats why congress is overhauling whats good and leaving as such whats bad.

So that your next generation does not have even that many educated people as now so they dont have to answer anything (for example demographics like minority population growth, etc)
