I too was strongly against homosexual relations and still I am to some extent. But today after reading some scientific articles on the topic, listening to some other people and looking at the 'h**da' community in our country, I have given a space of openness towards them. If they are really biologically oriented, who am I to judge them? And if they are not responsible for their biological formation, can we blame them? Finally, irrespective of their behaviour, should we not uphold their human dignity?

It's not the question of a new child being born but an orientation. Take a papaya tree - do all of them give fruits? does it mean, it is not a papaya tree.
Besides there could be many other reasons for not having a child.

I don't know any babies who are sexually active. Do you? However, did you or your parents know you were straight when you were born? I doubt it. Same way, no one can tell someone is gay when they are born. It shows up in how one finds the same sex or opposite sex attractive when they're of an age to realize that attraction. For me it was when I was a teenager. For others it's when they're younger or older.
Shenn, you gave a perfect answer with the example of a papaya tree.

i congratulate you. millions of people in our country have access to same knowledge that u went thru, but will not make effort to reas it and just spew hate and cliches here.
here opposing Homosexualit are along the following lines:
1> It is unnatural (without defining what unnatural is). Is masterbation, oral sex, not getting married etc unnatural?
2> If we tolerate homosexuality tomorrow we will have to tolerate ______ (fill in some crazy imagination - incest, corruption, societal collapse etc). Guys lets focus on homosexuality per se - whether it is tolerable or not and why. Please do not project argument - unless off course one can provide a study/argument that homosexuality leads to incest or corruption etc.
3> Pure hatred - find and kill homosexual babies. No answer to them other than - biggest desease is hate.
many indians have the tendancy to tolerate homosexuality only to sound progressive or cool and also because its a western trend/mostly seen in the west.
garbage is produced in every natural cycle and in every natural methods. homosexuality is the garbage of sexuality.just becos it exists and just becos many follow it doesnt mean its right. many take drugs but is it right??

to know whether its right or not, think about it would the world be ok if each and every individual was a homosexual, I think not.. the human race will not survive and that will be our end.. so definitely its something which should be banned and considered as a crime...

It is a stupid argument. Like: Today Bollywood makes movies with Women wearing skirts. tomorrow they maybe naked - so ban Bollywood.
Boss debate an actual premise (homosexuality) not a projected premise (what if scenario like incest legalization).
Tell me objectively why homoseuality is perversion, do not stretch it to Incest - nobody is supporting incest.
