Excellent presentation
by ramdas lingam on Jun 19, 2007 07:13 PM

Hi Iqbal

Need to search for words to congratulate in a best possible way...but my knowledge stops me here only
"Congratulations"

The most imporsive part in the debate with President seems like he did not waste time in prising the president or some shit instead it looks like he used the oppartunity to maximum extent to present the cause ...this really great..all best ...
and lets hope KALAM sir will become "PRESIDENT" for the 2nd term too

Sonia & left see him as the only hurdle in their agenda to reduce India to a banana republic
by pradeep agarwal on Jun 19, 2007 05:43 PM  | Hide replies

Sonia may have acted as devi of sacrifice when circmstances made her decide otherwise after being elected by UPA for the post of PM.She has since than reduced the position of PM tothe level of a clerck in GOI.The revenge will be complete by reducing the other position also to below dignity & red monkeys will as usual be a party to any act that belittle the image of country. How else can they otherwise explain opposition to the candidature of Mr.kalam who is getting support from all other parties against Mrs.Patil(who)?

We had set an example in the world by having A Scientist as a President and Economist as a Prime Minister. The result is outstanding. When these two represent India in forums across world, We geniunly feel proud of them representing India. The audience looks forward to their words of wisdom. This time politics seems to prevail over sensibilities. How sad! I plead to politicisions to keep this This sacred topmost institution of the country out of their political agenda.

We need Dr. Kalam as President till His Highness is ALIVE
by Shailesh Joshi on Jun 19, 2007 04:48 PM  | Hide replies

The Education Loan Policy was so rigid earlier that I was unable to get a laon from our Nationlised Banks.

I was so tired - running pillar to post.

Suddenly I got an Idea to write to our Beloved President H.H. Dr. Kalam.

Let me inform you all that the Education Loan Policy was changed in 30 days - to make it so easy that poor students do not require to mortgage any property / security upto Rs.7.50 Lacs.

Due tio his Efforts , the Education Loans are now available from Jr. KG standard.

Long Live Dr Kalam And Let Him be President of India TILL he lives.

APJ may not be a political genius, but he is the most respected person ever to hold the post. Unforunately for our country a president can not be assertive and self-opinionated, else APJ would have done much better

India's politics a solution or a problem on cast and reservation
by Goodwar sen on Jun 19, 2007 04:45 PM

What solution lies- control over casteism in politics- Is it possible that people coming out of caste politics? Never, Who are good candidates for representation of people in a democratic country? Do our national parties provide seats to them to fight election or candidates with criminal%u2019s background will let them stand against there self%u2019s to fight election? In my opinion never, because as Prof R K Gupta wrote in his article that %u201Cour
communities are strongly divided in caste line which was exploited by the British and then Congress and now Maya promote it highly%u201D. VP Singh (a worst politician in Indian history) played the card by pulling out Mandal Commission report lying in dust. This Mandal Commission was appointed by Indira Gandhi to get rid of the pressure to give reservation to backward classes for her political benefit. So this dirty game is going on since 1970 onwards. Why Gujjars should not ask for reservations and why not devasis who are very poor animal grazers and backward and why not Brahmins as per the survey done now they are also in minority. (Brahmins in UP are with Maya and form the Government)

Can you give me the name of any politician who have died in such riots which take place in India time to time on the name of community, reservation or any burning issue where innocent citizen have lost there life. There are soldiers who give there life%u2019s in serving the nation i.e. our mother land INDIA, that soldier is not remembered

dear abdul

nda govt at the center did not do anything to hurt the feelings of muslims. can u give one such example? only bjp and shiv sena in nda talk about hindus, but bcoz of coalition nda does not at all talk about hindus. so how it is communal? even parties like dmk, aidmk had been part of nda.

on the basis of what u r saying, parties other than in nda r also communal, bcoz they do minority appeasement. or do u think that only if some party talks about hindus, then it is communal otherwise talking for minorities is secular?

I agree. If party A support's one religion or faction of society. Then there will be one party representing the other side. There will be certain selfish interests which have to be met. But once they have confidence that their vote bank is safe, they will concentrate on national issues..

NDA maynot be very communal but all I know is if there was a congress or third front government, 3000 innocent muslims wouldnt have been slaughtered post godhra, the perpetrators not gone unpunished. We can blame Narendra Modi all we want but the responsibility rests on the centre and the truth is Vajpayee and BJP should have brought in the Army the first day things got out of control. Instead they waited for three weeks till all the damage was done and then brought in the Army. Even though I am a Hindu and I understand the NDA government gave me less sleepless nights than the UPA government, I will never trust the BJP after the post Godhra tragedy. I know a lot of Hindus think it is tit for tat for the 40 people burnt( which i dont agree with anyways) but the CBI investigations have revealed that the 5 people who actually burnt the train and stopped the fire engines from reaching the coaches were trained by the ISI and had been to Pakistan two or three times. My question is why punish 3000 innocent people(including children, women and old people, many fathers) for the action of five bad apples and our generous neighbor pakistan. Why didnt Vajpayee bring in the Army the first day? I think he is sitting home staring at the roof these days instead of being the PM because of his actions at that time. I think this sin is going to be with him even after he breathes his last. and I dont have to say anything about Modi, I wish he rots in hell when he dies.

Mischievous Headline
by shashank shiromani on Jun 19, 2007 04:26 PM  | Hide replies

The article by Prerna Gupta is very good and inspiring. However, the Headline given to this article is mischievous. I don't know who gave this headline, the writer Prerna Gupta or the Rediff news bureau. The connotation of this headline "The President said that I am fantastic" seems to be that Kalam is declaring himself fantastic. This is specially so when a big national debate is going on the president's election and Dr. Karn Singh had declared himself as the best candidadte. Rediff news bureau should be careful in giving headlines.

What shashank observed is correct. If one see the headline only without going into details, it looks as if Kalam is praising himself. Even I misunderstood first until i read inside the article.
