Terrorists/communists like Arundhati Roy, Praful Bidwai and Nirmala Deshpande are more dangerous than Md Afzal and need to be tried and convicted first. I agree that Md Afzal should not be hanged because more dangerous criminals like Arundhati Roy, Nirmala Deshpande and Praful Bidwai are roaming the streets of India scot free. Dear arundhati, it is now high time for you to get married and enjoy the worldly pleasure,rather than roaming court to court and requesting the govt for realease the traitors and terrorists.,at the same time i also request you to inform the mid age ladies i.e medha,barkha, teesta setlavad, and other page 3 feminists also to get married to good mens who have self respect. Enjoy that rather than this street fighting, our leaders are still alive to take care of them.

The lady should confine herself to scoring browny points with the whites to satisfy her craving for international recognition and publicity. For someone who is on record saying the pres George Bush addressed Indians from the "Zoo" (probably she does not even know the history of Purana Quila and Indraprastha), or saying in an interview in the US that some anglicised Indians have acquired a fancy for keeping dogs (probably she does not know the postion of a dog in Hindu mythology and the time from which Indians have kept dogs). We have her rooting for Maqbool the criminal while another secularist Barkha Datt is rooting for Maqbool the artist, who too has violated the law! Would they be so zealous enough to support thousands of others awaiting a similar fate? Maybe not, if such persons are Hindus!! Who is Arundhuti Roy to ask for a retrial? I distinctly remember Ms Roy proclaiming a few years ago to be an 'International Citizen' and not an Indian. That alone absolves the Union of India from paying any heed for Ms Roy's demands made on behalf of terrorists. Moreover this gives the Union of India and her citizens every right to equate Ms Roy's actions with those of a few other citizens of the International variety who have innocent blood on their hands and have found refuge in a neighboring country which have sponsored their actions.
