Let us do something - Continued

Giving blood once in a year to red-cross don't make us great. Imagine india's population in another 25 years. Do you think you will be able to keep all that property. No.. There will a civil war. The poor people need house too. And hence all the propery u r so meticulously investing into will be gone. When our kid is borned, we feel so elated, so excited. When he is injected with a DTP injection, he cries, and so do we. But think about the future, 25 years from now. He will have to face an anarchic society. For how long you will be able to protect him ???

It's time for action guys. If you really feel we need to do something, then write a mail to me. We will form a group, will chalk out a plan. But remember, it's a slow process. If we start now, then we will be able to achieve something in next 10 years. But that will be an achivement in itself. You never know what future holds for you. You may be the chosen one. And then we have to grow our kids in such a way, that when we pass the baton to them, they take it with pride and belief in us.

It can be done. Let's do it. There are so many ideas to share with you. Let's make a beginning.

- UDAYBHARAT

Hi,
I read all your messages. Valid points made. But do you think, talking alone will achieve anything. Corrupt politicians, corrupt Bureaucracy..Everybody from top to down are corrupt. They are buying property, locking tons of money in Bank, investing tons of money in share market, mutual funds, insurance(bad aspect of unplanned liberalization). And god knows what else. A class-mate of mine from the engineering college is a JE in the telecom dept. of a POST office. He couldn't get job elsewhere, but got a junior engineer job through bribes. He makes 10-20 lakhs every year. Imaging, there will be other JEs and then senior officers. Work up to the top, and your heart will cry. It is just a post office. India is a vast country, and if you do the arithmatic, the money will just run into billions and billions.

I'm from IT industry. We are getting good money. My colleauges and the other people i know from IT industry are going mad about real state. They are just buying property everywhere. What is this all about? One requires only a single house for himself.
Are we(IT people) doing a great service to the nation by doing this. Giving blood once in a year to red-cross -continued

Regarding Justice V.R.krishna Iyer
by Ramesh on Aug 19, 2006 06:41 PM

I am lucky to meet Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer in New Delhi where he had delivered key note address on the entire issue of legality and activism to resolve the problems of Occupatinal Safety and Health as well as occupational Diseases This programme was organized by Participatory Recearch In Asea.(PRIA)What was striking and profound is that the way he did grasp the entire issue of OSH and links it with its multi-pal complex relation with existing socio-political reality and then come forward with short term and long term strategy to combat to resolve it and how to get all the stack holder together and devise a multy pronge approch for struggle and activism. He spend the entire day with the participants.Hats off to Him. He actively participated in group discussion and offer maney valuable suggestion. It is misfortune of the People and the nation that we are not able to take any advantage of such living legendary. His simplicity is like Mahatama Gandhi and worth emulating. some times, I surprise why visual media is not showing worthwhile programme based on good work of such person.Instead, showing the love affair of Patana professer with his students.

Mr. Bigshot
Security gets paid by Power
by Mr. Bigshot on Aug 18, 2006 07:05 PM  | Hide replies

I differ. Let me show you how.

Buying weapons. Are you aware of the fact that no country can have peace on their land who doesnt have enough military capability. The reason is simple, No one dare to mess with those countries. Do you know that if we didnt have military superiority vis a vis Pakistan they would have crushed us long time back and you would be sitting in some old age home and wouldnt be able to even dream of India, eliminating the word poverty and hungry. So say thanks to the idea and they have my support as a citizen of this country because I dont trust the Chinese. Sorry China men. cant help it.

And what you dont like capatilist. Get over with your prejudice mind and say thanks to those billionair businessmen who have got India onto map of corporate world resulting more jobs and more growth for the nation.

And what have you done for the poor people. Every poor man can put food onto the table in his own little ways. So stop begging and work hard.

My sympathy with them and thats all. and pitty with anybody who doesnt understand my logic.Anyways, I dont care.

Jai Hind

Dear Shiva,
I agree about Amma as you know more about the trust run by her. I apologize for my earlier mail.
But about the 2 books example, just think if I get 100 books from a library and all are bad. What will I think about 101st book which can still be good? That is what is happening in some cases.
I see Satya Sai Super Speciality Hospital doing lot of good work, but I also see Satya Sai schools in cities are quite expensive.
I see Maharshi Mahesh Yogi's institute doing lot of good work, but I see the schools of the same institute are quite expensive. This is where I loose trust on certain things.I dont believe in criticizing them because they are doing what they think as the best with in their preferences.
But my point is that apart from other charities, education is one of the very important service.
In this context, I also want to let all the readers know that Saraswati Shishu Mandir has been doing great job in educating the slum children at very basic price and making them good human beings. More institutes must come forward to make the kids (who are prone to turn in to Anti-social) as the good human beings. This is the point I wanted to emphasize.
Best regards,

Regarding Mata Amritanandamayi
by Shiva on Aug 18, 2006 10:16 AM

Mr.Raja Mohan, not many are aware of what Amma is doing for the society. As She says, if you randomly take 2 books from a library which turn out to be bad ones, it doesn't mean that all the other books are bad. One has to learn to discriminate between the good and evil.

by Pranai on Aug 17, 2006 01:31 PM

Mr. V R Krishna Iyer is correct, new generation need to change India, It is very sad to know that we Indian are spending huge amount in education, which poor cant afford to study so that poor are becoming poorer and corruption and unemployment is increasing day by day. As Dr Ambedkar once said: 'Every generation is a new nation.' So only new generation have to change India

Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer's thoughts
by Suresh D. Koondaje on Aug 17, 2006 11:13 AM

A brilliant exposition. But his shock at arming ourselves seems totally mispalced: if India were ill-armed, Pakistan would run over this country in no time.

Parivarthan in India
by Ramesh.G on Aug 17, 2006 11:13 AM

Parivarthan in India is defnitely going to take place, and this will be done by the Supreme almighty himself.5000 years ago India was Ramrajya.Today this country has become Ravanrajya because of corruption nepotism and red tapism. Each and every body has become slave to money and power. The Society , State and country as a whole is rotting and deteriorating. Now as being mentioned in religious scriptures the almighty Shiva/Allaha/Holy Spirit has descended in India in the corporeal body of Adam /adideva/adinatha/Adham/puranapurusha in Farrukhabadh district of Uttarpradesh to bring about the transformation of Athmas and prakruthi.By this VASUDIVAKUTUMBAKAM will be set up in INDIA.This is a reality. This spiritual revolution will encompass the entire world in the days to come and 1 rajya, 1 bhasha,1 dharm will be set up.The realization of this transformation can be had by taking the valuable knowledge of RAJAYOGA.For further details contact Adhyathmic Eshwaria Vishwa Vidyalya at Farrukkahabad in Uttarpradesh.
