Do something contructive

Madam,
Do something constructive. Modi and Hindu bashing is not the only formula to rise the Media ladder. Stop this stupidity.

Mediots can't leave Modi alone

Ms. Bhatt, who once found Musharraf "cute" (it was reported in paki newspapers at the last cricket series time), like all psuedos has a very hard time believing Gujarat is still a leading Indian state. That's understandable envy.

Her following question is intriguing though:
"How can any state have all-round prosperity without the meeting of minds of the minority and majority communities?"

According to noted Rediff journalist Arvind Lavakare, the richest state (per capita) of India is and always has been Jammu and Kashmir. About the minority/majority relations there, just ask Kashmiri Hindus who were killed by thousands, are displaced and live in shantytowns outside Delhi.

It's a shame that Bhatt can't find time for THAT minority.

Modi, the apartheid leader.
by venkprasad on Jan 13, 2005 02:47 AM

If Sheila Bhatt was a white South African living in the 1980's, she would have been an ardent supporter of apartheid as it looked invincible and was bringing economic prosperity to South Africa. However, it was defeated in no time. Eventually Gujaratis will get tired of Modism, even if it brings them short term economic benifits.

Keep up the good work, Mr. Modi
by Dharmesh Thakkar on Jan 13, 2005 02:23 AM

This was one of the quite a few platforms where Modi was criticized, blamed & convicted for everything went wrong in Gujarat in 2002.

After a good work of two years, these are the people who now have to start talking about your good work.

I wonder how much acclaims you will receive when this hard work starts showing results in a year or two.

All the best to Gujarat & Mr. Modi!

Jai Hind!

Modi Rules

Sheela,
A good article. At least , you have put some positive aspects about Mr.Modi. Well, some good points about Mr.Modi.

1. Modi is one of the few politicians whom we can trust completly. No corruption at all. Also, throughout his tenure he sticks to his ideals (No matter whether we agree with his ideas or not. He is what he is.)

2. He is leading the progress of Gujarat. I am not sure whether his effors will be successful or not but good thing is that He dreams and he works for these dreams. His Karmas are good and he keeps on doing those karmas.

3. If media put aside its grudges against modi for what happened in 2002 then perhaps they would be able to see the positive aspects.

One more thing. No other individual has been painted so negatively in Indian media as far as I can see. Modi has been compared with devils, hitlers, villains..... and what not.

Media is taking goebbels role.. You keep on reporting modi and riots, manipulate his quotes, quote him out of context, use great english jargons for this guy and start manufacturing consent across people that he is responsible for the riots. No he is not. Mobs across Gujarat can not be inspired/controlled by indiv

I am not sure if this article is a comedy or satire on Modi by the author. Gujarat's communal riots after brutal burning of 58 Hindu passengers is past. We can keep raking it up both at home and International fora. Tsunami has killed 150000 people and made millions home and hopeless. Lets focus on how we can provide help to those. We hear great stories of survival and heroic stories. Cover them if you can. Lets leave Gujarat for now. Each state is in a pathetic condition after 60 years of independence...West Bengal, Kerala, Bihar, UP, J&K, North West...Media has become so useless, it is parrotting the same old stories. Learn from western media on how they work for the people of their countries. How they bring up motivational stories before Olumpics on their sports persons. Learn how they bring up the best of their people. You can make a difference if you leave your bias aside.....

do a better job...

good luck
