None of the Nehru Clan . . .
by T V S Sarma on May 30, 2004 10:35 AM

It is strange to observe that no one from the Nehru clan studied in India. Probably they found none of the Indian institutes fit for them(with their charecteristic arrogance) or is it because they are afraid that Indians will come to know of their mediocre IQs if they study in India.
Well so much for patriotism of the Gandhi clan

edu or no edu
by nalini on May 24, 2004 03:05 PM

i bet most of our educated citizens did not even bother to vote. thery were either enjoying the holiday or have settled abroad. wat the nation needs is not qualification but education not degrees but morals. and a person educated or not needs to be commited. it is even more mortifying to know that the leaders are educated yet are unworthy of the chair.

Everything lies in the heart of future!

It is a very good symbol that a person with such acedamic qualifications has been made our PM but the question which still remains open is that is he a mere DE-JURE ruler and will be a puppet in the hands of Sonia or he will actually rule the country with his own wit. Also, even if he manages to come out of the sphere of influence of Sonia Gandhi, who definitely seems to be the De-Facto ruler, than to what extent will he be able to implement his policies when he has to take anti-reformists like CPIM and uneducated people like Lalu in his cabinet. And lastly we, the people of India, have not reached the maturity to support reformists like him. We have seen the fate of Great Reformists Chandrababu Naidu and Vajpayee. So, merely the qualification of the De jure ruler can not be considered to be a boon for this nation.

I cant understand how can these desi big wigs manage to ge some "exotic" and equally "doubtful" foreign "degrees"? Isn't they really admitting that they couldn't able to develop the education system in this country to offer "higher education" to their offsprings

How Qualified are our PMs?

Great! I had nowhere read an ariticle on this subject before which should be known to every citizen of India. Yes, like for any other job, there should be a law i.e. one should possess a minimum qualification to become a President, Prime Minister, MP or MLA.

Rediff.com do excel these days in providing different news like this kind to its readers and stand second to none among any other news channels.
