Is there anyway we could help her
by Lavanya on Oct 01, 2003 12:43 AM

Hi

I am really saddened by this incident .

May God give her all the strength.

I really admire the fact that Meenakshi is standing up to fight for justice especially in our Indian society.

Is there anyway that i could help her financially or in any other way ?

Positive thinking amidst disaster
by Sriram N on Sep 30, 2003 11:51 PM

The courage of this woman is astounding.
The attacker not only estroyed her ego by raping her,
he also left her physically handicapped. It is really
amazing that she still is able to bring a smile to her
face. I pray that she recovers well and gets some of
her life back. I also pray that the attacker gets
caught and punished for his dastardly crime.

Starting Life Afresh

I do appreciate the courage the girl is showing after having gone through all these trauma. Hope she gets well soon and get that job back. May God help her in a very fast recovery. Hope the accused receive the maximum penalty.

Wonder when will these kind of issues be seriously looked upon so that everyone thinks twice before going for it?

Start afresh
by KK on Sep 30, 2003 11:42 PM

This lady is a very brave and sensible girl. Every one should support her getting her life back and getting perverts like her attacker in jail, preferably for life. It is high time rape was made less "attractive" for India's criminals by having stringent laws and removing negative portrayal of women, and that judges are more sensitive to the needs of the women.

nurse rap
by Peeyush on Sep 30, 2003 11:34 PM

Some of these stories make us feel that there is no worth in being a man.If power is for acts like this then women of this nation can say that we dont need strong man to take care of them, man should be feeble, weak so atleast none among us does this thing. We men must recognize that such thing is not done by a single man,we all r responsible, because we allow our mentality to plummet to any depth and from ashes of such mentality arises the cases like this.
