This article seems to be an eye opener atleast to me ...but i cannot say about our indian politicianc because their intellectual level is too high they can only see the green currency they get under the table.China is so desperate to eat indian IT market even in usa that is it always quotes 1/2 the price for any contract which indian firms quote....

thanks

sanjeev

Jaichand Syndrome

Bravo dear Rajeev,

As usual your euridite and incise commentary is spot on. I enjoy very much reading your comments and I can assure you that so do almost all of the local Indians here in NC. This is just a word of encouragement to you, and a plea that you do write more prolifically. Also another is for you to join the government and influence policy decisions. I am sure that India will benefit immensely from your contribution.

warm regards

Superb analyses
by adheet on Mar 18, 2003 08:29 PM

Wonderful and spot on.

Have been reading Rajeev's articles for a while now and i always wait for the next.

In this analysis, however, the issue about Godhra is misplaced. I think giving the regrettable events of last year too much copy lends undue primacy to those who have made it their bread and butter (and there are several such people (Old Left as R.S. Calls them) here in the rarefied towers of American Universities).

Nonetheless, his analyses of China's strategy and India's well known weakness/cravenness are brilliant.

If only he had been our Foreighn Minister

A real eye opener.I always noticed the way western media projected India. They never try to learn anything about India ,but cook stories depending upon their needs and convenience.Islamic militants becoming a big threat to Malaysia, but I dont think that is the root cause behind the incident. We can not neglect the second reason-The competitive Chinese .

Mr. Srinivasan, is an expert at mixing a few facts, his own not inconsiderable opinions; and a lot of cleverly packaged untruths into racy prose. He is good for timepass and since he does not have to live in India, his opinions on what India and Indians must do are a good way of wasting time, for the reader with leisure time on hand.

Kudos to Rajeev!!

Hats off to Mr Rajeev for putting forth such a bold article. Its very true that when a hindu speaks about his religion ,he is seen as a fanatic not only by the minorities, but also by the so called secular hindus but when a person from a minority community gives inflammatory speech, openly supporting pakistan, then he is just preaching his religion.

How long we have to live with such pseudo-secularists frame of mind??
