Our parliament is not considerate enough for the masses and in this era of bold and super active women wanting to be foolishly independent in all respects according to their whims and fancies such dowry laws serve as a mere black mailing tool in their hands.
One such irrational law which has been recently enacted is Domestic Violence Act which will have far reaching disastorous consequences resulting in more and more bitterness between relations of a women and her husband/in-laws. There are many absurd provisions in this act which takes into account only the weoes of women.
498-A and Domestic Violence Act are sure to make the urban educated girls (under complete influence of their wicked mothers ) behave in more stupid fashion.
Sir, Even sections like 498A is not sufficent to punish bad husband.A man easily marries another girl after divorce but the girl loses her respect in the public.Many husband act as innocent and mentally torture their wife which cant be explained in words.It should only be felt.So it is good to have laws favouring women.
dear sir, we want to work for the persons actually victimiseds by their wives.We want to fight together. This is the only method. Be united to fight for the good cause to save the husbands by the misuse of law
sir, my wife is not living with me from last 13 monts she wants to come back by when she is with me she threats me that if i dont listen to her she will comit sucide i am very afraid of it her father threats me if i dont listen to them he will file a case of dowary and 498a againt me and my family so please suggest i want a divorse from that girl .

I am in the same boat as you are. I have been married for about 13 yrs now and hv 2 daughters aged 7 and 3. All these years I have been trying to make adjustments on my own and also on advise of my elders. but now things are getting out of hand. on 20 june 05 just after 45 minutes of arriving home from a holiday to sikkim, my wife called the cops saying "my husband is beating me on the instigation of his mother" She tells the cops my husband beats me coz we do not have a son. God knows I'm v happy with my girls and i have no intention for a son. There's so much more....can we keep in touch? I am in Delhi, pls mail me on this rediff id.
It's actually me and my family who are being harassed by my wife and her family. We have already heard a lot of vulgar words from our wife's side that normally no decent family dare to speak. We are not ready to hear anymore. On top of this, we are also threatened to be put behind the bars.
