Matter of faith!!!!!!

Discussion on UCC really amuse me !!!
Manipulators (Politicians) never want that Indian become literate & united.
Nowadays we have special group of manipulators who extended in India with different
name all are engaged to make this country weak and proclaiming to them as Rashtrabakta.
Their seniors were involved in informing British power against revolutionary. Certain beg
Apology from British when they were punished by British.

Now they propose UCC without even making UCC. Indians where mass is illiterate
Blindly support them certain cross the limit and accuse Indian Muslims as traitors.
Now if any body ask me to accept UCC. I would prefer to reply in the language of those
so called Rashtrabhakta that its the matter of faith. I can accept it when its Sharia if its against Sharia I cant because its the matter of faith.

Hindu Civil Code?
by Vasisht on Aug 07, 2003 03:45 PM  | Hide replies

In any democratic, modern country, the laws are made for the majority and why the hell it should be different in India??Further, we are supposed to be secular and the whole question of majority and minority in the name of religion is complete non-sense.Are the pseudo-seculars and pseudo-intellectuals aware of this or just pretending not to be aware, for some unknown reasons or for some unknown vested interests? There is nothing absolutely wrong if civil code in a hindu majority country has a hindu majority slant!!As Kanchi seer asked, can we have hindu slanted civil code or Ram temple in Saudi rabai or any muslim country as pakistan? Similarly if hindu majority want to have a Ram Temple in any chosen place, let them decide it by a referendum or by majority vote.Same should be case with all points of contention whether it is Kasi or Mathura or anuy other.Amberish and other so-called pseudo-intellectuals of this type, it is time you grow up or better just shut up!!

Amberish's article is interesting. There are several areas which raise questions. For example, he has failed to enunciate why should state interfere in personal laws? Personally, I would like the state or UCC to come into picture when one of the parties in dispute knocks the door of UCC. In that case, the UCC's prescription would override the personal law. This would enable smooth transition to UCC. Women organizations, particularly muslim women should start speaking out about UCC in the public debate. The most useful outcome of UCC would be removal of caste, religious and sectarian barriers, which will be revolutionary change in Indian society. Hence, it should be brought about gradually rather than some political party making it an election issue and generating friction and mistrust.

Why dig in past?, look toward future.

Diwanji should do some research before writing articles. The future world will be very much different from the past, because of the technology and faster transportation and communications. So the laws should also change from time to time. There is no reason to dig into old customs (bad customs like sati etc.) they are long gone!

India needs sound laws to ban archaic customs like polygamy because it does not suit these times. Polygamy may be reinstated if it becomes necessary in the future (like in some unfortunate events male population plunges), I wish we will never need such thing.
