Keeping wild animals in residential areas in any modality must be prohibited. Change in the natural habitat will effect the psychological status of the living creature. The minister recived appropriate punishment and for others behind this incident also must be punished
Its quite unfortunate that the elephant killed its owner and former minister in UP but it's more unfortunate that the same elephant got killed by police!! Had it been the same case if somebody killed the former minister? Does the elephant have no value for life? Then why one could be allowed this wild life to be raised in thier bunglow?
I am with the view of eva sharma, the elephant should have brought under control by wildlife experts.
Some months back the elephant of Udupi krishna temple in coastal Karnataka created havoc and panic in the people but after 3 days it came under control.Forest offcials and expert mahuts succeeded in getting it arrested but not killed it.
It is sad that an elephant killed a man - But the issue is what business do men have in denying freedom to wild animals from their natural habitat and keeping them in captivity.
