Adoor's films are technically speaking the best ....
by ragesh aravindan on Jul 19, 2013 05:08 PM

Adoor Gopalakrishnan's films are technically sound and intellectually brilliant.

Films such as his and Ray's and Akira Kurosowa's greatly boosts one intellectual understanding of life in general, and the finer technical points of filmmaking in particular. I really enjoyed watching such films in film festivals and relished the experience.

His films have helped in creating an intellectually stimulating cinematic atmosphere in Kerala and India, and I hope his tribe increases.

I salute the audience who watch his films and encourages this trend of filmmaking, as his aesthetic films greatly improves the intellectual understanding of the audience and prevents cinema from drowning in the whirlpool of brainless commercial cinema.

Adoor Gopalakrishnan is one of the most , if not the most, technically accomplished directors in India today.

Winner of many best director awards at the national level, he definitely has the right to say the top ten Indian films of all time.

If you want to dispute this, then get some credible qualifications of your own comparable to his and then dispute it.

Before you blamed the british, Wait how many of you know this...
The mughal muzzies lost to the Birtish in the battle of buzar and pleased with the british to retain their crown in Delhi so they handed over Bengal to the British (Diwani rights) to collect taxes and when the rains failed the famine happened and people died.
So dont blame the British. Blame only the Mugals who abandoned the Bengalis and ran away in return for their titles.

Meghe Dhaka Tara picture

is actually from the new movie on Ritwik Ghatak's life. The persons are Saswata (playing Ritwik) and Ananya Chatterjee(not Anil Chatterjee and Supriya Devi). A little attention was needed by the person editing this writeup.
