He has been awarded Padma Vibhushan, Padma Shri and Dada Saheb Phalke award and many other international awards and recognitions. These movies run on empty theatres in India. Many of these movies which showcase India's poverty and miseries will never ever make it to my list. I find them disgusting. They create a very bad image of India in global arena. I being an Indian haaate to accept it. I don't like the world to sympathize or pity us. I can accept a documentary on Indian poverty as the target audience are different. Hope you get my point.
