Mercy for Dutt Why?
by Ramesh Mosur on Mar 21, 2013 02:53 PM  | Hide replies

It is said that "every saint has got a past and every sinner has a future". Sanjay Dutt is paying for his past, he mai be a saint today. Film industry people are talking about what he has gone through, do they think of what the terror victims went through? Please do not idolise a man who committed a crime. Let law take its own course, our country needs laws that will treat everyone equally.

sympathy !!!!
by ar on Mar 21, 2013 02:53 PM

This tendency of trangressing the law is there in he children of rich and powerful, because they think that their parent is there to protect them. Look at the children of ministers or IAS officers or rich people, and you will clearly notice this tendency. They must be very severely punished but sadly that is not happening. Lot of sympathy is pouring in now, why these people are not showing sympathy for others who are common people? Is the law same for everyone or different?

To a big extent sanjay dutts sentence is the result of his upbringing by his parents. He was the spoilt son of rich and famous parents who gave him all comforts but did not bother to care about whose compnay their son is making. He was a pampered kid and he would have naturally thought that his parents are very influential and rich to protect him from all wrongdoings. He was brought up like that and fell into the company of drug addicts, mafia and the likes of it. Like other rich parents his parents too bailed him out few times and got him treated for drug addition. Yet the upbringing was bad and it resulted in his making friends again with wrong people and he paid for it. I would blame bad upbringing for all this. He must have realized things by now that beyond a point his parents cannot bail him out. He has committed a serious crime and he must pay for it. Lots of lives have been lost and if he is not sentenced now it means those lives have no value. His so called friends are now shedding crocofile tears. What they were doing when he was making bad company? Why they did not advice him then to avoid the company of such people ? Why they alert and advice his parents to correct him then ? Everyone should be pardoned the first time but in sanjay dutt case this was not his first violation of law, he was associated with drugs mafia earlier, he did it again and again and how many time you can pardon him ? For the mental agony etc he has got 1 year reduciton so it is a good judgeme

It is a bad example to punish him after such a long time, he was jailed for one and half year earlier, proved that his is not a terrorist, putting him again in jail, a burden on govt. to bear his cost too in jail, what is gain-rather people are made anti nationals, from such people, better sizeable capital punishment would have been given. But we are following British sytem of slavery.
Regarding drug abuse case, nothing to do with this case.

What is u r intention ? there should not be any Higher court in any contry ? POlice / Courts only to disturb poors ? Shame on u & u r logic ? Have u know, SC has cutdown to 05 years dueto a famous personality, what else u expect ? I am tru-believer of LAW, who is disobeying SC order, SC should ask the Police to book case on them. When SC catch Raja / Kalmadi / Jagan / Kanimozhi, how we are all praise the SC ? Do not double speak like a season politician ?
