Most of the people would not agree with this article, specially just after his demise. He was a superstar, no doubt. But that does not make him invincible. I don't how true this article is but I don't know how true other articles singing praises for him are either. Instead of being hostile towards this article I think people should read it as a part of a superstar's journey. People need to accept the fact that the superstar that they so worship on screen are different in their real life.

his author is trying to defame Khanna. Just consider the logic - Khanna despite being the highest paid actor was appraoched by producers again and again thats the reason he has 106 solo hero films and only 22 muti star films.He holds record for max films as solo lead hero author backed roles.Producers never shied away. Plus each producer and director has repeated Khanna in 3 films minimmum.His filmography from 1966-1991 proves a lot. He has min 2 films releasing every year from 1969-1991. He has 95 box office hits and got the best music because he used to sit for music sessions.Thats possible only when you are liked by all and respected for your acting skills.RK was very humble and infact generous. Poeple have taken bunglows, cars from him and inudustry people have praised him for being so humble - Khayyam, Raza Murad, Amitabh etc in interviews.Also Amitabh just did angry young man films. Khanna's fimography shows he has done wide varity of films of many genres and achieved success. Romance was just an element in Khanna's films but each film of his was of different genre.Avatar was remade as Baghbhan, Anokha Rishta remade as Lamhe,Nishabd and Sachca Jhuta as Don. Go and See Redrose, Aaj Ka M.L.A Ram Avatr, Babu, Tyaag, Amardeep, Awaaz, Bawarchi etc-- were they romantic films ? they were each of different genres. There are obvious loopholes in your story. Please do not be ridiculous on a friend's grave... you could end up worse???? Ego happens to a normal man, they why not on a superstar. Dig deep, and everyone knows the pain of the downfall bit not because of the event, but because of the betrayal of good friends, mainly his wife???

Absolute rubbish.....Namak Haram was remake of a Hollywood movie Becket...where one of the main protagonist (Richard Burton in Rajesh Khanna's role) dies...but the other lead Peter O'toole (amitabh) lives on to repent his crime. RK cannot possibly have a hand in alterning the plot. RK was naive in his arrogance to have his actions noted in black &white by all and anon....but Amitabh was much too smart and had a very close coterie who knew of his machinations. This is a rile of a frustrated fellow whose only claim to fame would be to foulmouth a departed man.
Any one acting on this 15 films would have the same record.......so its not Rajesh Khanna.
What about Rajendra Kumar, He is known as jublee kumar because almost all of his films very silver jublee hits... you and me both know how good an actor Rajendra kumar was.
Take out songs from Rajesh khanna's movies and than see how good an actor he was.
Not trying to defame him, I like him too, but I like RK and his films just because they had one of the best songs/music ever in hindi film industy era. But please don't even compare him with AB....AB is far better actor than RK....simply no comparison... Amitabh can do action, drama, comedy and tragedy.....were else you cannot even imagne RK doing action roles....in the couple of films he did..he looked like a joker.
Salman khan has a record of apperiang into 8 highest grossing films of all time in India film industry, for 8 years...does that make him better tan Rajesh Khanna or AB ......think about it.
Its not how many hits you have given in short period of time....its about how many successfull movies you have done for long period of time, whihc tells that a actor is liked for so long....like Amitabh.

can amitabh act like rajesh did in "roti". His charm is 1000 times more than of bachan. Amitabh cannot even touch him. and yes these dwarf khans, these are slum-community heroes.

When I saw Amitabh and his son in Rajesh Khanna funeral, the way they were walking they look like they're members of Bin laden gangs especially his son.
Sad that Rajesh Khanna was the kind of guy that he was. But still, he is now a departed soul and when someone departs, we try to remember the good memories of that person and not dwell too much into the bad things. Inspite of all the problems they had, Amitabh gave a moving tribute to Rajesh Khanna in his blog, cried in front of his body and walked on road from his home to the crematorium to attend the funeral. And Jaya attended the chautha ceremony.
Khanna is a lesson for all people in the future generations of how not to handle success. We learn how not to behave from our predecessors. We learnt from Khanna about how not to handle success.
