There is nothing wrong in what Rajesh Khanna did; particularly with Amitabh Bacchan.
Rajesh really cared for Jaya Bhadhuri; he sincerely believed at that time given the kind of appearance of Amitabh and the only kind that get going in Bollywood he thought Amitabh cant make it.
ONly those who dont care for people keep quiet even when they know that the person is moving around with somebody who cant make it.
But Rajesh stuck his neck out for the sake of Jaya which many dont by playing safe.
Hasnt the whole world at that time said that Amitabh cant make it? Then why are we not talking about all those but single out only Rajesh Khanna.
Rajesh didnt have any ill will towards Amitabh; he sincerely thought Amitabh cant make it. But like all others' his judgment too went wrong.
Who in the world has taken all the right decision all the while? Only those who never took a decision.
Regarding how treated others even has a reason. We are all told how he mistreated them; but no body tells us how those people mistreated him when he was nothing but a talented guy. No one tells us how he was treated when his first three films bombed at box office.
Rajesh came up in talent competition; he didnt go to directors and producers with a certficate from Prime Minister Indira Gandhi like Amitabh did.
He had no friends; so what? All those who wanted to be friendly with him came to him after his success but not before.
He was very successful , he commanded lot of price for his films ultimately was he a happy man ? He had huge ego at least what I make out of reading about him.He was totally in-disciplined ,so fast you rise the faster you will fall.I am not a big fan of this actor nor Amitabh ,the differance is Amitabh is extremly disciplined - he had his fall but he over came through luck ,hard work and ofcourse talent .

This author is trying to defame Khanna. Just consider the logic - Khanna despite being the highest paid actor was appraoched by producers again and again thats the reason he has 106 solo hero films and only 22 muti star films.He holds record for max films as solo lead hero author backed roles.Producers never shied away. Plus each producer and director has repeated Khanna in 3 films minimmum.His filmography from 1966-1991 proves a lot. He has min 2 films releasing every year from 1969-1991. Thats possible only when you are liked by all and respected for your acting skills.
All the journalists wrote about Rajesh Khanna in details. But nobody mentioned that for some time Rajesh Khanna lived with Ms. Tina Munnim (now Billionnaire wife - may be that is the reason why journalists are scared to write about her). I have some interview of Rajesh Khanna where he mentioned that he shared the same tooth brush with Tina Munnim. I am not sure if this would be published too by Rediff.
Sad thing with many actors is that they live a life of larger than life, which in fact no life at all - a life without family and friends.
I recall a Malayalam Movie �ayanane Tharam' in which Mohanlal portrys as a successful director, and another malayalam actor, Sreenivasan, who suddently becomes a hero, by sheer coincidence dectates his own terms in every film, and he even steals Mahanlal's story and script, to call it as his own.
In the end, Sreenivasan's hollowness and ego filled actions, cause his downfall.

is trashyyyy.How brave of him to insult someone who is not present here to defend himself!! No wonder RK treated him as such. Humbleness is a virtue, RK was not humble, but he was still a big man, and he lived on his own terms. RIP RK !!

The journalist of this article should be ashamed of himself. At least do not say things when he is no more. Tell me who on this earth is perfect.Everybody has some or the other pros n cons. Come on the popularity that he had got is very easy for anybody to become like him. It is human. Just respect the fact that he had entertained millions for so many years and stop writing these when he is not even there to defend it.

RK and AB almost strated their Movie carier almost same time and their age is also same but RK got got very fast success between 1969 to 1973 he gave 15 hits in a row which is still a bollywood record which no one can break. But in 1973 after movie Namak Haraam, Big B already shown Rajesh Khanna that a Actor is born and after 1975 Hit Zanjeer, Angry Young Man, Amitabh Bachchan was born after that rest is History.
