:Hindi cinema finally seems to have gotten camaraderie right. Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Shaitan, Delhi [ Images ] Belly: none of them quite scratches the surface of greatness but each gives us bonafide bonding between its leads.
Mr Sen, I like your reviews and mostly they are the barometer that I choose to watch (even judge) a movie. I didnt watch this one going by your review above.
I watched this one on tv today. just like that. perhaps couple of good words put in by some aquaintances and perhaps being pushed a tad by my later half. or was it the breath taking picture postcards... anyway.
So while I agree with most of above - the cerebral side, the logical side - I still enjoyed it and missed my friends. Perhaps there is a romance to life that gets missed while analyzing things too far. Perhaps the sum of banal can still be non trivial ...

That's a really true comment. While SenSaab's review cannot be refuted, I must also add that the film's fun as long as it lasts.
This is an excellent movie. It's actually so different from the usual movies that overdo it. Here we have natural dialogs between friends and their expressions and acting is simply superb . Nothing overdone. All 3 fit into their character so well , they must be the most great friends ever I've seen in a bollywood movie. The feel of the movie is simply great. A lot of things are 'subtle' in the movie , which is so very different and it is really cool for an Indian movie. It also has a lot of humour which is very real and how it is in real too. Another main thing is all songs are great and the best thing is they are unintrusive, they blend very well into the movie. This is 5/5 rating movie for me.
Of course, there are a series of flaws you cannot help but notice. For instance : * Live your life to the fullest, as you won't get to live it again! If every Indian could relax like these three going to Spain as and when they like, then why do you bring in the term "Poverty" here?!
But overall, this film is really an entertainer and deserves at least 3 stars. "So fixated is the film on trying to appear 'cool', even 'minty-fresh,' that the emotional connects all seem like afterthoughts." When this guy reviewed APKGK, why didn't he say "the film tries so hard to make the audience fall for its "comedy"". I don't see what future Rediff has.
I m pretty much shocked by the review. more often than not, i agree with his views on films... but i cant disagree more on this movie, specially the acting part. Farhan, i mean, that is the most naturally funny performance u will come across anywhere. After a long long time i have watched a GOOD hindi movie which deserved its hit status. but yes, that wealthy enough part is true, they r rich so they can have fun not worrying bout other stuff
Raja Sen review is shocking, the movie is absolutely fun to watch and quite engaging, after along time there is one good movie with true bollywood style choreography, natural acting, big canvas, engaging story, emotions, reality check.
