:The attitude is different Mr. Raja Sen
by parasumanna sriram on Jul 28, 2011 03:36 PM  | Hide replies

The Hindi filmi writers, directors and producers know the youth attitude is changing. The youngsters want to live their dream, pursue their dream at any cost. They want to live the life filmy style in an illusionist world! What can you do? The more you reject these slick films the more you will be bombed! The reason they hate you is because you (we) are from old school! We look for script, acting, screenplay, cinematography and all but today's youngster world is not interested in all these but only the fashion side. What can I copy from Farhan's style or Katrina's or Hrithik's.

Pursuing dreams at any cost? Hrithik was portrayed as a jobaholic who was made to think that life is more than money. Where did you get that idea?

The film was stylish. But style is merely a medium. If you (viewer) focus on that you'll miss the content/message.

Just because you (or your generation) are not used to certain concepts/themes/lifestyles doesn't make them hollow. Grow up (despite your age), have versatile experiences and learn to appreciate new things in life or you'll get obsolete.

I loved ZNMD too

Rediff moderators did not publish my comments where I did though analysis of some of Raja's past reviews. Moderators need to come to terms with the fact that Raja reviews suck big-time. By selective filtering of comments you are just making 'Rediff' users unhappy. I am assuming that Raja is the only thing which brings some users to Rediff.

@Gopobandhu agree with you completely

its sad
by Gopobandhu Sahu on Jul 27, 2011 10:59 PM

its sad that for negative publicity, rediff still keeps Raja Sen.
but long run, rediff will pay for it. it has already started. once upon a time rediff internet ranking used to be higher... now it has gone down drastically. the management know it.

somewhere you have to pay for your negative tricks.

this guy gave three idiots 2 star, ZNMD, one of the most refreshing movie i saw since long times, it's 1.5 !!!

sometime it is funny, but not always when you give such bad rating for such nice movie.

Take off man. That way you will help the world.

I dont always agree with Sen but he's right this time around...it's a vacuous piece of touristic crap, pretending to be a movie. He was right about Delly Belly's amateurish English dialogues..one either nees exposure to world cinema, or earlier Indian cinema to develop cinematic taste and grammar. The current crop of Indian viewers, the urban lot, have none...and instead indulge in a jingoistic effort to shjow India makes great cinema. even a recent movie by an Iraqi filmmaker with little resources and set in a war zone is way above the current crap we churn out...and one has to blame the local reviewers and audience for that ,..
