improve the old films and make them digital where it is on par with the technology of recent films.... so that the new generation can also appreciate the gems of artistic creativity, instead of poor copies! The new generation of directors have no real sense of films as an art form.. they are in it only for the money, and more money.. !
specially when maushmi asks sanjiv(her husbands twin).. can she take his clothes off ?LOL oh my god.. pl. leave angoor , golmaal as it is for eternity.
even if it is remade, the makers should dissasociate themselves from any references to the original. The female cast, apart from Chatterjee and Irani, included a great performance from Deepti Naval worth mentioning. What goes around, comes around...with films like Tere Bin Laden and Phas Gaya re Obama, let us be hopeful about Indian comedies in 21st Century. The sensibilities and body languages have changed, the slow, classic narratives may not find their place in current comedies in the near future. But yes, there's more to comedy than Golmaal-new,No Problem or De Dana dan. David Dhawan started the trend in 90's, these films have only added gloss to it. The idea of entertaining people with no-brainers may be an insult to the brains.
basically the film is the media of film director. the classics reflect the genius director to transform the content on the screen. the director carries the ethos of the time that he creates the film. He has something to say, which was relevent in that time frame. the classic film could click, hit the heart of people in that time frame. can we re make paintings of pikaso or michelangelo, look at remake of devdas, it is glossy, but it has lost the essence, dilikumar could look like the one who could destroy his his life for love. but shahrukh looks [ in essence ] a play boy. the basic story may appeal to maker, but remaking with popular actors, can bring their unnacearry impressions it can mar the essence of the content
Sir, pls. note the original Padosan itself was a remake of a Tamil Movie of 60s Adutha Veeetu Pen.I can only laugh that you are discussing this as though a original stuff has been made in Hindi.Baaaals.

Dude, The films 'Angoor' & 'Chupke Chpke' are also remake of Bengali fimls 'Bhrnntibilas' & 'Chadmabeshi'. But that doesn't ensure the whole India knows about it. Try to look into Indian context rather than an orthodox South Indian mind.
I don't think that is should be done coz we shouldn't take an type of risk with them. we have already saw the result of 'DON' Bachchan's don was terriffic n srk's was terrible but srk still intrested to work in remakes i think he deserves it coz he is just copy the top stars from last 17 years so he can it.In my opinion we nevertry to remake any classic.
