would you ever bother to see something like No Entry or Gaddar 30 years from now?? but even after 30 years, these movies will be seen and loved; that is the difference

I agree Sameer..No entry tees maar khan and such crappy movies that are so called comedies can never become classics...the movies listed above are timeless classics just like the songs of that era. there can never be another Kishoreda or Lata

classics r those that live beyond their times..modern day classics would be Rang de basanti and satya..no one will consider the rest of garbage bollywood produces, as classic

So far most of the above listed directors have directed 2 / 3 films each and out of those 50% were not worth. Forget about master pieces.

REMAKES....YES OR NO
by Ashis Chakrabarty on Feb 09, 2011 08:43 PM  | Hide replies

Remakes should be made...why not. But definitely not for the sake of one-upmanship...like what SRK tried with DON and failed. The whole world knows that the fellow tries hard to prove that he's a bigger phenomena than the Shahenshah of Bollywood!!

Dear Mr Sen,
This is an outstanding collection of the TRUE bollywood movies, not the sleazy ones we see today. Anyone ever trying to remake any of these movies is well and truly silly. People will sign any petition you propose on this subject. Great write up - keep up the good work mate

These remake business is just an indicator of the sheer lack of talent in hindi film industry. All in the name of money!
