MC Australia has the passion & MC India is like a des
by Samuel Galla on Dec 13, 2010 04:28 PM

I am following the MC Australia for the last 4 months and names like Garry,George,Matt and Contestants like Mariom,Claire,Adam etc etc became our daily discussed names. It has the passion, life and the Spirit of a true amature cook to reach the top and the hosts are through professional.
When i heard about MC Inidia I was really excited and again the same story repeated, when are going to lift the standards, the whole world is watching and i really wish people like Sanjeevkapoor to takeover show from next Series.....what do you say Guys......

No comparison against Masterchef Australia
by Dev on Dec 12, 2010 02:34 AM  | Hide replies

Akshay Kumar and your 2 cronies, you need to watch Masterchef Australia. Famalarise yourselves with the Australian creativity and love for food. You can't even cook, critics have given you the worst food ratings, how on earth can you even appear on the show. Learn to respect people and food, then watch how the world acknowledges cooking before coming on to the show. Dress the modern way, not the filmy way, Absolutely no comparison with the Australian programme...you are all a joke!

Hey Dev,

In india out of 100 crore people, not even 10 lakh must have watched MC Aus.So stop comparing it wid MC Aus.indian ladies, mothers, daughters.wives etc enjoy MC India because 1) the ingredients are easy for them to understand 2) food taste matches our indian taste and lastly most of them understand hindi but not english.

I use to watch MC Aus and MC India Regularly.
Its not just the anchor or the crew, its public who want mirch , masala and glamour in even a cookery show.

We Indians will luv or enjoy the best and even the 3 grade movie and shows of any other country but will not leave a chance to criticise any thing done by our people, without realising at least they attempted it, wat can we do just sit watch and criticise.

Just one thing my dear friend.
if some thing is wrong , point it so that it can be improved. its easy to write a stupid comment here.
Just try participating in any one of the reality show and see where u stand.

MC India was a good attempt. A bit flaws were there, but I am sure they will eliminate those in next season.

MC India2 will surely be a much improved version.

What a disgraceful show!
by Dev on Dec 12, 2010 02:24 AM

Akshay Kumar, you are not a chef, by being on the show you look like a prat, you have no idea how to dress or even present yourself. This is a professional show, not a filmy set. Go back to the films and leave this show to the professionals. You continue to advocate your experience from Bangkok, who the heck cares. We are sick and tired of your Bangkok updates. People from around the world watching this Masterchef programme, must consider it a disgrace. You can't even support the contestants, you only know how to critise them. Now get off the show..please.

It is cooking and no non-sense.
by Mahesh M Nair on Dec 01, 2010 10:27 AM  | Hide replies

Its very easy to criticize by saying "rona dhona"etc.. but just try to make a variety of food items in a stipulated time under such competitive situation..not an easy job.. the participants are not professional chefs but only people with passion for cooking and so they are doing a good job...and why to compare it with foreign shows..they haven't even seen variety in cuisines as an Indian. Master chef India even expects them to make Italian , but I haven't seen the foreign shows work out on India or Manchurian cuisines. Watch Discovery channel where you can see foreign chefs doing research on Indian cuisine. I am not forcing anyone to appreciate the show but please don't write it off.

Are you crazy Mahesh, in MC Australia they cook Italian, Mandarin, malay, Indian even Sri Lankan dish apart from Australian delicacies.
You gotta watch it to believe.
Also the experience of watching MC Aus beats the Desi version.
Watch a couple of episodes of that and then comment.
I have watched both the shows hence commented.
Thanks

I totally agree with Mahesh and Sanjeev. I never watched Masterchef Australia and so it is easy for me to NOT compare! It is a good attempt. Anyway, I really wish that Jayanandan had won though I cannot deny that Pankaj deserved it as well. Anyway, Jaya got a job as chef at Leela! Not bad....not abd at all! Congrats to both!

I agree with you 100%. Its easy for people to rip off any program. Hey the contestants are not professional cooks but people with genuine desire to cook and serve good food with passion. I personally luv cooking and enjoy this show, with all its short-comings - Sanjeev Nair, Mumbai

It should be all about cooking not acting!!!
by Neha Garde on Nov 19, 2010 06:25 PM

U cant even compare master chef australia and India. Overacting, unwanted emotions and madness about akshay wonder how public even accepts this?
although india is one of the highest in population seems like it lacks h.r in dis field! Absolut despair!

I love Master Chef India
by Ghazala Salam on Nov 13, 2010 10:15 PM

I love the show because of Akshay, he has done a fabulous job hosting it. Have you all ever really seen hell's kitchen, or Top chef, honey there are a lot of tears on those shows too! And I am so glad, they didn't bring Sanjeev Kapoor or Tarla Dalal as hosts, have you ever tried their recipes, they suck!!!

by Shobha Kamath on Oct 31, 2010 05:07 PM

disappointing..to say the least. too much about participants and rona dhona rather than focusing on the food and dishes.. it is supposed to be a cookery competition, not a platform for sob stories and overflow of emotions... guys get professional. esp the anchor.
