I heard the judge's commenting to some contestant that this is not cooking at road side dabha or bar. they were commenting that good food is only servered in five star hotels and restaurant. Let this chef go to some good road side dhaba and they will understand what is taste of good food. I drive about 60 kms to visit a pure road side dhaba because the food is so delicious and tempting that one cannot miss it. Food from North India is shows on the show, tell these guys to move to Rajasthan, Gujrat, Maharashtra, Andhra, Kerala and they will get to know the taste. Keep the show as cookery show not mookery show.

Hi 'am a foodie too. Can you suggest this place you visit for good tasty food. Probably recomending the must-have's. Assume its near New Mumbai Thx !!
I am a big fan of Masterchef OZ that comes one Star World (though its a delayed telecast). I watched Mas.Che India last night and was hugely disappointed. So much melodrama by the participants and the two cooks sitting besides AK looked so irritated by the tings going around. Looks like we are in for another "Nautanki" during prime time.

agree totally..just look at the huge difference between the quality of this and a program like "Top chef"..here the contestants are not even chefs..they are just people who cook at home for their family masquerading as chefs here..

true its become a habbit. and they dont talk about the positives, akki was awesome, what a charisma and presence and he can connect with any aam aadmi unlike srk who is too NRI minded. akki cud communicate in marathi, punjabi, hindi, bihari lol.
Expected something akin to Master check Australia, which was pretty good. But of course in India, we had to add all the lovey-dovey stuff like crying/shouting (see the ads) which is the staple all Indian reality shows.

I 2 have seen MasterChef Australia n loved it. Being an Indian show it has all the rona-dhona n I dislike that so much! n the ones that looked mature n serious didn't get more screen time (the ones that came at the very end...)

True DK, MasterChef Australia seems much more professional. Of course, they also have rhona/dhona but minimal.
Honestly, crying should be easier in this show. Just swab some onions before you come on air, and start blabbing.

exactly! when they did cry one could feel the 'necessity'... and lol for the onion one!! :D
Not worth seeing since all3 Judges are High headed.can understand for Akshay but why 2 Chefs.Chefs are spoiling image of programme and not talking sensibly with participant.Flop as far as me is concerned

insanity has no limits. I thought for a show on cooking chefs were to be the judges. by the way the aim of the program is to find the best ameteur chef of the country
I can bet this show is hit , it is not a cookery show teaching you recipe like Khana Khazana it is a competitive reality show. What audience gets is the emotional drama and not learn recipes. Akshay Kumar was the only positive point in this whole new format of the game which saved the day and made Sukanya Verma write this review else what is the difference between LG Mallika E Kitchen which came and went unnoticed and this show.
Now we may debate that Akshay is not a good host but see what happned when PC hosted Khatron ke Khiladi and you know that he is actually a good host who managed to generate interest in a drab - dead show.
