Hritik and Barbara both met in a first scene in a movie like 30 feet below water...but both drowned in the sea...hard to digest...just like the whole movie!
All the emotions and story telling,script of the movie direction action even songs are hollywood style..you will like it ,if won't enjoy movie if u take it in usual bollywood style.. Nice Movie...
...Hollywood style. Takes themes from all Hollywood movies Anurag Basu ever watched... you name it! Thelma and Louis, Desperado... Barbara Mori acted well, Hrithik overacted... but in all, way beyong Bollywood... if fact too Hollywood... should make good money.
Guys, I am in US and watched the evening show of KITES. Not only Indians but plenty of AMERICANS too were visibly excited and happy about movie. While having coffee outside theatre 2 couples joined me and my husband and said your BOLLYWOOD actor is better than any of HOLLYWOOD one. They liked movie very much and Hritik and Barbara too.
It's very good movie, don't beleive below comments, movie is really pulling very good crowd here and same reports I got from other part of US through my friends as well.
GO FOR THIS MOVIE, MISSING IT WILL BE FOOLISHNESS. IT'S 100 TIMES BETTER THAN MNIK.
Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Mexican star Barbara Mori's action-romance Kites has become the first Bollywood film to debut in the North American top ten on opening weekend flying into the number ten spot.
The film has opened at number five at the UK box office.
This Friday, on May 28, an international version of the film titled Kites- The Remix will open in select theaters in US.
It is presented by Hollywood filmmaker Brett Ratner, focuses more on the action and runs 90 minutes in length.

You appreciate if Gora's make movies about Indian slums and wins oscars but you don't appreciate an Indian making movies with Indian and foreign star cast.. That's attitude or mentality, whatever ...

hritik is the best no quetions at all, its like a hollywood movie
read the post and argument between one Mohan and others, well i would say upto certian level mohan was right that in Bollywood, only Khan name sells, i agree with him that since last 20 or more years the biggest hit was given Khans only, and Amir Khan in particular, like lagaan , 3 idiots, gajini etc. SRK was also better , but comes after Amir.I guess mohan was also trying to say same thing, but in provocative way, may be he was teasing the Hritik fans.
as far as other Heroes are concerned most of them came from filmu family backgound, and here they come without proper acting class, like one firoz Khan son, or abhishak, or any other producer/director son , they got the chance by default.
Hence i endorse the point raised by funny Mohan that Bollywood is ruled by Khans only, atleast by now, about future no body knows since all the khans are about to retire like our Sachin, Dravid, and others cricketers.
One more point, Media helped Hritik a lot by giving too much hype after his first movei, but unfortunately that goes against him, since too much hype people start expecting him too much, like every new cricketer is not sachin who is master in handling extra pressure from fans.
