Dude you missed bhojpuri..which runs Bihar in UP nowdays..because bollywood is now serving NRIs and Metros only
If Reliance had released the movie as per the guidelines of KFCC, why KFCC has to ban the movie? It is sheer violation of guidelines by Reliance and they are the culprits. I request all Kannadigas to stop supporting such people who violate the common guidelines.

Hindi being a national language has advantages ad disadvantages with it: advantages: 1.Large peopulation understand Hindi(about 80% in India) compared to any other regional language .So teaching the remaining 20% population of India is easy then teaching 80% of India some regional language.
Disadvantages: 1.Its a languages asociated with moghuls and islam/urdu. So it does not basically qualify as a Indian language. Its as foreign language as English. No indian state spoke Hindi before the arrival of Muslims from west afghan/iran/Turkey to India

An Indian necessarily do not have to accept Hindi as his/her national language .......

Hey prashant, Kindly go throw the constitution and kindly update yourself that what your institutions are teaching. HINDI IS NOT OUR NATIONAL LANGUAGE, as per Indian Constitution, Kindly go through 8th Schedule of Constitution which clarified about language. It was proposed (only) to promote hindi in India, whereas the creation of states were done on language so kindly educate yourself and others too about this. There is national anthem, flower, animal, song, flag, state emblem, but there is nothing called national language.
Its really sad to read some comments which have nothing to do with the real topic. topic was about this great film “Kites” Which is going to sweep all the awards in Oscars, Bafta and will be screening in all the world s greatest film festivals not to forget all the thousand types of awards in India its going to win if not reliance big films will be see it win all the awards in India and abroad. Even after KFCC was genuine enough to give extra screens from 21 to 24 but reliance big went in a big way to realese in more then 46 screens violating all the rules of the state. This is not business but gundagardi. Time has come to take strict action against these arrogant people. Stop abusing each other in name of language, land and other silly things Just for one film which will only benefit for their producers and these greedy distributors.

Its hard to c the way KFCC is behaving. When will they produce one damn quality movie...when will they make one ORIGINAL movie...when will they compete by bringing in the crowd, other than few mass people. When will they stop getting jealous. WHEN WILL THEY GROWUP...Huh
Indians resisted english being national language becoz of it not being an indian language. Hindi was never an indian language too.. was any part of India speaking Hindi before Modhuls arrived? But today Hindi us our national language and so we shall try to propagate it , But pls dont force it. Its not the mistake of south Indians that they resist hindi, but its just the attitude they have had for 1000 of years... that they have fought islamic invasion and hence speaking an islamic language is something.. which then becomes a unnatural thing.

again someone...hindi is NOT natiional languge, check it out. so you do not have to propagate it.
Re: Re: hindi a national language???
by prashant on May 21, 2010 04:56 PM
Hey Dhruv, Truely Hindi is the official languages, But not a national langauge. Even today Punjab and Tamil Nadu have been given the freedom from the govt not to have it mandatory language in education .
Re: Re: Re: hindi a national language???
by prashant on May 21, 2010 04:58 PM
It would still acceptable if people from TN,karanata and other parts south India resist Hindi. But then they shud be fully willing to accept All indian languages be it punjabi, gujrati, marathi, bengali. They are all pure indian origin languages and All indians shud respect them

people of all states have good and bad people. Go to bangalore and try to travel by Rick , you will feel that kannadigas are bad people. But if then visit other parts of bangalore, you will realise kannadigas are peaceful, cultured, clean, religious, good in acads and people who allow people from other states to come and assimilate. So every state have good and bad men
Hi All fellow Indians.. Before islam invaded India, there was no such language called Hindi. India's own language was sanskrit and all other Indian languages were its derivatives. States which have been ruled the longest By moghuls have the largest hindi speakers(UP/BIHAR/MP have been ruled for more than 800 years) where as the states likes gujarat, rajastha, punjab were ruled for not more than 500 years so they have moderate hindi speakers. States like TN, karnataka ,Kerala resisted islamist for more number of years and had the least number of years of moghul rule due to which they had less hindi speakers. All languages in India, punjabi, marathi, tamil, kannada, are Indian origin languages whereas urdu, hindi are islamist languages comming from the iran-arab region.
Re: Re: reason for high hindi speakers
by prashant on May 21, 2010 04:41 PM
no one is best dear....if you go through the history, there was time when most of the India was ruled by kings from UP/bihar..(mauryas,yadavas), There was also a time when south indian kings ruled the major chunk of land till thailand. Then came the time when Sikhs-Marathas ended the modhul-islamic rule of India. So history gives chance to all, every state has had it golden period. South Indians are good natured people, very string in academics, But every state has some good and bad points, lets appreciate people from all states.
