First of all, the matter is about the unfair act of the Distributors and NOT about Hindi Language or National Integrity.
Next, the rule of number of theatres playing Hindi cinemas etc.. is a rule by the local film chamber to protect the interests of the local film Industry. It is about the business.
If the rule by chamber is not proper, talk to them and get a fair deal. That would be the better way than unnecessarily blaming the people and the state. It is entirely a matter of the business of the film Industry.
Kites producer is not doing any great service to the country with his film. He is just doing his business.
Remember, Hindi films are not completely Banned in Karnataka. They are still playing there. The only thing they need to understand is not to be unfair. Will you try to behave as you wish when you go to your neighbor's house? You will not.
Also, you can't force someone to accept a language just because it is spoken by large number of people in some parts of the country. It is individual's choice. We know that Hindi is an Indian Language, we understand, speak, like it and respect it. That's all. Do not expect it to be forced upon us. Respect is to be earned, it is not snatched from others. Finally, if you are still going ga ga about Hindi, go and watch Kites in Tamil Nadu's B centres, You'll find Hrithik and Barbara romancing Tamil.. En Kadale.. En Manaivi.. etc.. lol :D.

That is exactly the treatment we should also give to them. May be if we allowed dubbing, Kites would have been dubbed in Kannada, which we can still call as value to Kannada language.
Who are these fools making noise about hindi not being a national language and mughal leftover. They obviously don't know what they are talking about. Tell me any language which is spoken in more than one state in india, UP Bihar uttranchal jharkhand MP rajasthan himachal jammu, the population is half the india. if you call yourself indian, u should know Hindian language is hindi, and it has been over the ages, hundreds of years before mughals arrived. if it was not for hindi, whole india will be 30 different states ruled by either arabs or catholics, it is the only thing which is saving your life and dignity, so better be grateful.

At this point of time, you will gain nothing by opposing Hindi. Hindi has got the status of the Indian official language, it’s same as what is English in US and England, French in France and German in Germany. Indian passport, nationalized banks, Indian offices and all school board will support Hindi. In democracy it’s the majority that wins, it’s sometimes not accepted – I agree, but you have to accept it. As per the latest census more than 80% people in India knows Hindi. So bottom line is – Keep fighting and opposing Hindi and you will get nothing out of it except wasting your time. Other way round accept it and understand the importance of a single language in a country and its importance to build national integrity and unity.

BS..... Hindi is not the language of India. Just because it is spoken in many places in India doesnt make it the national language. India is a country of diverse languages. Each language has its own charm.
IMO, this is the right thing done by Karnataka people. They have to protect their language films when it is played in their own state. They have that right. They are not jealous of Kites, they want to ensure that local films have equal priority of theatres.
Guys, this is just another publicity stunt created by the crew of Kites. Just like the Mori and Roshan Love story and the break up etc... We just blindly fall for these publicity stunts.... There is nothing called North South East West. we are one is what we need to understand. If we are fighting inside our house then why are we making a hue and cry when someone beats us outside. we need to show that we are united inside. Then see if anyone has the courage to lift hands at us.

If you are oriya no problem but if bihari please do know about how your brethren disrespect local cultures wherever they migrate and create ruckus....
No mistake in kannadigas going for protectionism.......They are wonderful people and we should respect their decision to protect their culture through their movies....
Northies need to learn a lesson or two.I have never seen a northie speaking good about south movies. Why should south watch those crap bollywood movies???
I hope people will not be too much braod-minded to watch these stupid hinglish movies........

It is good to see all South Indians - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalis and Kannadigas united in this thread. We all need to unite and fight against the imposition of Hindi and destruction of our cultures and languages. Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi have weak film industries due to embracing Hindi movies.

R u getting treated in Karnataka's reputed hosiptals coz you dont have better at ur home town:) Tell me first of all, why have you migrated to Bangalore ? Dude you missed bhojpuri..which runs Bihar in UP nowdays..because bollywood is now serving NRIs and Metros only
If Reliance had released the movie as per the guidelines of KFCC, why KFCC has to ban the movie? It is sheer violation of guidelines by Reliance and they are the culprits. I request all Kannadigas to stop supporting such people who violate the common guidelines.
