I loved Shutter Island. From Leo to Mark to the creepy asylum to the numerous mysteries and the climatic ambiguity, everything goes for this film. It's certainly worth a watch.
Why all the rediff reviwers are Idiots.. on other side Raja gave bad reviews to Rajneeti n here they are slashing shutter island,...i have seen this movie and it is great psychological thriller with marvelous twist
The statement "I am unfamiliar with the text so I have no idea how faithful the movie is to the book" itself makes you unfit to pen down the review. This tells how much time we waste reading reviews from these half prepared son of a gun reviewers from rediff.

Why should a movie reviewer have to read the book before he reviews the movies? Any which way, the book was below par. But like D'Silva put it correctly - the story didn't deserve the big budget approach.

there is no need though. but when made a comment about faithfulness to the text, it makes a minimum req. to go through it. Again, its the genre it falls in. I liked the book and so did my folk. The movie isn't bad though. My concern is the quality of reviewers. Makes no point honking to the deaf though
this Elvis D Silva fellow is not worth it..m sure he dint even get what Master genius Scorsese has shown! jao elvis bhai mooh dhokar aao n i guess u r better suited to review Mithun n Jackie Bhagnani kinda flicks!
Hello Rediff Rather than making someone like this write review of a movie , its better that you dont include a review section at all.You are going to lose a lot of readers if your reviews are consistently failing.
