Why all the rediff reviwers are Idiots.. on other side Raja gave bad reviews to Rajneeti n here they are slashing shutter island,...i have seen this movie and it is great psychological thriller with marvelous twist

no he was not insane.. Dr crawly and his partner chuk help him out to re live his imagination wit the hope of curing him of his illusion problems..

yeah u r right Date.. and he actually fell in a loop .. he was recovered from the illnes but then he can went back to his own imagination and in the end the loop just continues :)

He says at the end : "Is it better to live and be a monster, or die a good man?”. It implies that the treatment did in fact work and he had not regressed, but he would rather be lobotomized than live with the knowledge that he killed his wife and was unable to save his children.
I've been tolerating the review so far and was preventing myself to comment in any of reviews.. coz they did not make any sense to me.. Can't help today.. You know what is Disappointing !! not the movie.. that rediff is not learning anything even after reading comments from People..
I loved Shutter Island. From Leo to Mark to the creepy asylum to the numerous mysteries and the climatic ambiguity, everything goes for this film. It's certainly worth a watch.
This is byfar one of the most tight thrillers i've ever seen. Scorsese is a legend. Can't understand why some unknown two-bit nut is reviewing this movie.
