no doubt raj kapoor was a great actor ,director and producer. he gives alot to indian cinema and for his great work we are thankful to him. if someone don't like him u can not argue with him if u believe in freedom of speech, amitabh bachan, shahruk khan are also great names of indian cinema but may be u or someone else don't like them. a person whose name is shown here as rajiv gandhi he also did not like raj kapoor but manoj you did not utter any word against him. be positive dear and correct knowledge about islam and muslims, in madarsas we learn quran in arabic we did not learn farsi always remember "half knowledge is always dangerous".we have to live peacefully you should learn that from raj kapoor and his flims.
I do NOT watch any Hindi movies. But when I travel in abroad, the old russian taxi drivers remember only Raj Kapoor. I used to tell him about Amitabh Bachan as well. But they do not remember anyone other than Raj Kapoor. Though I do not watch any Hindi movies, I am convinced, Raj Kapoor was and is Great. None could, including Amitabh, match his international presence.
heard awara, hoon, sung by many 50-plus years old taxi drivers to impress me knowing that I am an Indian when I travel by their taxis...(chinese taxi means Elantra,Zeta,Accord and these drivers are owners of the cars)...
This tune was even converted to a chinese song...
I was shell-shocked to hear a chinese old man playing a violin type traditional instrument and singing the entire song..awara,hoon,...gardish,ka,tara,hoon..in the bank of the river which separates North Korea from China..tear drops rolled down from my eyes with nationalistic passion..that was the impact of Raj Kapoor..I salute him to make me feel proud as an Indian and winning the hearts of millions barefeet of language or religion or location...
