Vidhu and Hirani,

Do you think that people are idiots? Anyone who has read the book and watched the movie can correlate more than 60% of scenes, characters, jokes, and circumstances. I have read the book and watched the movie. This is disgusting.

I am great supporter of intellectual property and copyright. More than 60% of the movie is from the book. As you are not admitting it.
This is a big reason for me and many of my friends not to watch any future movie of yours.

This is not stealing but Daka, loot in broad day light

Mr. Aamir, I used to be fan of you and watch all your movies. I have read the book "Five points someone" and watched "3 Idiots" on the first day. I can correlate more than 60% of the scene and jokes, characters and circumstances. You go and read the book before saying anything.
After this, I have made a resolution that I will never watch your movie again and spread this stealing to everyone I know.

Request the 3 Idiots team 2b honest- the Aam junta is not stupid!
by Rishabh Ravi on Jan 02, 2010 07:03 AM

Aamir, you have publicly claimed that you have not read the book. My advise to you is to please read the book... The film is definitely more than 50% a direct lift from the book (including the characters, situations, jokes, etc). I had held you, VVC and RKH to higher standards than this. I hope you guys do the right thing and admit that you guys have not been fair to Chetan Bhagat.

well think.. this spat will hughly increase sells of FPS ... and because of earlier publicity everbody already know that it is based on FPS... then Chetan got the Credit.. I think it is just the matter of showing his name in the startiing credits.. thats it.. and for which chetan should absolve them for not doin it.. and it shouuldnt matter to him.. he got the money he got his name in the end crdit also ... and he got the hugh publicity of the book....

CONTRACT IS UP ON VINOD CHOPRA's WEBSITE!!!
by sirish b on Jan 02, 2010 03:24 AM

guys.. Vinod Chopra has uploaded the contract between himself and Chetan Bhagat..

http://www.vinodchopra.com/agreement.pdf

To me it looks like Chetan Bhagat has literally agreed even for a "exact replica" as stated in the contract.. But I wonder he demanded "JUST 11 LAKHS" .. that's ridiculous ..
