If Chetan would not have written the book there would not have a movie called 3 idiots. Amir khan should understand that Chetan does not require this publicity because he is already a popular author on his own right. The movie team has stolen theme from his book and not giving credit due to him is cheating. It is better Khan and others sort out the issue with Chetan amicably.
First of all my heartily kudos to the raju hirani director of film, abhijaat joshi script writer and aamir khan a magical performer, for making such a wonderful movie .Now let’s come to controversy associated with it. I have read the book and seen the movie; plot of 3 idiots is same as narrated in the book. Although 3 idiots is not complete adaptation of five point someone but 50-60% same as a book.Ofcourse raju hirani and abhijaat joshi has tried to add some spicy stuff, twist and turns for making movie more interesting. But i strongly feel that due credit should be given to chetan for the such a light and enjoyable story.I am not sure it is really a controversy or planned drama for sake of movie and book.
After giving such a terrible review, poor rediff has at last got something to write against the hurricane called 3 idiots. I am so happy for Rediff. LOL As compared to other websites, Rediff was so quiet on the super duper blockbuster success of Aamir and 3i. The moment a controversy happened, it has come alive and jumped on to its feet. hahahha. Funny, isn't it?
Dear Aamir, I have been your hard core fan but I am deeply disappointed to see your behavior and conduct with regards to giving credits to Chetan Bhagat. You know you could have never done this in the West. Legally you may not be challenged but you have clearly done something that is morally wrong.In fact in USA this contract would not even hold because over there you cannot call a story or screenplay original if you pick any idea from someone else's work.
I have lost regards for you. I pledge to never watch your movie again unless you make some amendments to your stand. It may not make any dent in your fan following but I shall feel content that I am on the right side.

I am really shattered that how we treat origial people like Chetan bhagat in this country. He is the only one who is so cosistent in his interviews. what shame! Now I understood that why people from IIM and IIT leave this country and go abroad becoz people of this country have no ethics. Dear Chetan you are an IIM and IIT alumunus dont waste your time here go abroad and do justice to your talent. Aamir this time you have not taken on a politician but on a true soul. your fate is sealed and you will pay for it

Yeah. Chetan Bhagath should leave India immediately. He has signed a contract and needs to respect it till the end in first place.

you are just an ordinary and nobody in your family can ever dream to enter such institute becoz proles like you follow their celebrites blindly. Aamir has not even read the book and giving statement on chetan
Aamir's comment with vested interest on Chetan Bhagat, is a big blow on humanity, humility, nicety and generosity.
His image in my mind has now got distorted. Earlier , he held him on high pedestal. Now he is a crook in my mind. A money minting creature who knows nothing about the basics of humality and humanity. Chetan Bhagat- Keep up your morale high and pls note that there is still a small section of human population who stand by your side. World is full of hypocrites and crafty people.

Moral of the whole episode is in bottomline that never trust anyone blindly. Money drives people blind and people with eye on money will hog into limelight. Poor man Chetan Bhagat- In lurch and cooling heels in this cross fire for want of seeing the light of justice.
