hey guys! the movie of such proportion is a rarity. so lets stick to facts, through this review column, i make out everyone did enjoy and would obviously like to see similar flicks being made in malayalam. so lets help it make a success, lets give our word of mouth or take ur entire family today.

ignoring all sarcasms; kudos to the pazhasiraja team!
n hail the unique aesthetics of malyalam cinema.

Anybody who is praising this movie has ever seen a great period movie in your life?????..This is only another nonsense movie with the exception of MT Vasu's Script which he tried to make it great but let down by the director & main actors.

I just hope that people like RAJEEV MASAND, other film critics see this and give their viewes, so that people go and watch it. What is the point of reviewing low class hollywood movies, if the one in your backyard goes unnoticed........ :)

Its so pathetic to see that malayalis are influenced by too much of Hero worship. Since when we lost your our senses to appreciate a good movie irrespective of the star cast ? Too much of risk has been taken by the producer for such a movie, lets dont forget that. It might not be a big budget compared to tamil and hindi movie. But a group of artists are trying everything to deliver something of good quality. Atleast they hav tried. So my fellow mallus try to appreciate that fact.

Mr anto, Its not all about whether the actor is famous or is known at national level, its all about whether he delivers the best and he is convincing.
A person who loves true art would never defy this movie. BTW what kind of exposure to world cinema you have? Or just fascinated by the works of Tinto Brass( that to is world cinema). Yo immature statements say that, u know nothing about cinema and its attributes.
Seems like you are radical mohanlal fan( btw am a lal fan too), who dont want to see anything bettter delivered from others. Once again grow up baby

Please check out the website http://www.knr.kerala.gov.in/history.htm and see for yourself if there is a historical figure Pazhassi Raja in Kerala history. This site is maintained by Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT), an organization established in 1988 by the Government of Kerala for advancement of research, development and training in imaging technology with an implied role in socially relevant science & development communication.
As for the actor, I guess he is as well known in the national level as any other regional actor with three national best actor awards to his credit.
You know, when you make blatantly inaccurate statements it casts a shadow on the credibility of other things you have to say too.

Pazhassi Raja is a nonexistent hero ?? I can only pity you !!!! As for the hero looking old, Pazhassi Raja's exploits start when he is 50, and those are what is shown in the movie, but how can u be expected to know that when u dont even know that he existed !!!

do u have any clue about history ?

I am giving you evidence - chk out malabardaysDOTblogspot which is authored by Nick Balmer who is a descendant of Thomas Harvey Baber who was the subcollector during the time when Pazhassi Raja was killed. He reproduces many letters about the same and sheds light on incidents pertaining to the Raja.

Now that is how a case is investigated...not by talking nonsense authoritatively !
