Movie is brilliant, every Indian should watch it. For all those who are high on the masala film overdose from every other regional/bollywood movie, please see this movie. Its straight from MT's heart. It celebrates the independence we all take for granted today. Great movie and wish India had able leaders like in today's era. Mammootty is royalty redefined and after the SUPERB loudspeaker, acts his age. I clapped for Manoj K jayan for the first time since Asuravamsham. Padmapriya excels in her role. The highlight, is however Sharat Kumar. Its like Karna standing out in the Mahabaratha. Sharat is AWESOME. Hope all indians watch this movie.

i returned from cochin just now back to Kolkata...should have got to watch this there...but time problems..will download it if not releasing here..i want to watch the original malayali version with subs
Saw the movie.Brilliant. However I have to say that Manoj K Jayan stole the limelight from Mammooty even within the consraints offered by his somewhat smaller role.....
I do not find the review matching with the rating given. As quoted in the review that 1)...(The movie)has a quality that has never been seen before. 2)This film is technically several notches above the standard fare offered in Malayalam cinema. 3)It would not be an exaggeration if we say that it is comparable to the best in Indian cinema. From these anyone can easily infer that that the movie is foolproof of any shortcomings of its time. Then why are there only 3.5 stars which is less compared to the ratings dished out to movies for being merely watchable with not much content nor value? It gives a clear hint that the review is highly exaggerated. Is it so?
