Blue Review..
by Guest on Oct 17, 2009 06:55 PM  | Hide replies

” BLUE ” The name is enough to feel the deep of it ! I did felt the color of Blue when I watched the movie. But when it comes to the screenplay it lacks deeply . The 1st half was full of repeated situation & even losing interest in the movie.

Akshay Kumar was at his best playing the Richie Rich style, Sanjay Dutt really needs proper work out to shape himself as he really looks absurd in this movie like old uncle SAM & Zayed Khan nothing new to offer.

You will find most of the stunts are performed by duplicate actors . Apart from beautiful locations of Bahamas & music this movie has nothing else to offers.

If BLUE does well in the box office then it’s just because of strong marketing & bankable star like Akshay kumar.

Otherwise with this Rs.120 investment there could have been much more better option for bollywood. But do watch the movie in the multiplex to feel the beat of Rs.120 crore @ just few bucks….

Rating 2.5/5

Dear Guest,

It makes laugh when you said most of the stunts are performed by duplicate actors (first you should know these are not called duplicate actors, they are called stunt men, secondly do you think difficult and dangerious stunts performed by actors?? 99% stunts are performed by stunt men irrespective whether it is a hindi movie or english movie or any other movies and ONLY Akki and may be Sunny and Sanju baba are few who performed their own stunts) so before you write get your fact correct. And, if you see only beautiful location and music (actually music is an avg compare to other AR Rehman music) then check your mind and pulse. This is first time ever in Indian cinema whose standard is equal to hollywood, and people like you and few others always try to critise others just like an opposition party. So, stop barking wish you get well soon. Happy deepavali to you ALL.

just by hiring some foreign technicians it doesn't become hollywood standard...what abt the absence of script & silly dialogues?...what abt non actors like ZK?...unfortunately deprived Indian population thinks such films r gr8 & the trend continues...Dus, Dhoom2, Race, Blue....all similar stuff....

If you think so, then tell me last 5 years which movies are great? Either they copy from some other regional movies or copies from hollywood. And, for your knowledge these hollywood technicians have proved in this movie. The stunts, cinematography, and visual effects which we can see in this movie it is superb and equal standard to hollywood keeping in mind our budget and viewership. And, don't think people are fool who make these films are success. It may not be like by few but majority like that is why it is declared as hit.

"If you think so, then tell me last 5 years which movies are great? "...

what abt omkara, CDI (despite being a yashraj movie, kudos 2 shimit amin), dev.d, black friday, kaminey, Mumbai Meri Jaan....

there r more...sarkar raj was very good 2 a point but aishwarya ruined it...anyway u don't need 100 crores 2 make a great movie...& when u have 100 crores u should set aside a couple of crores for good writers...

the below movies you are telling how many of them got success? Not a single one except Kaminey (avg. hit) so as Dev D rest of them are big flops incl. Aamir. So, what will happen to those producers who spent money on it. So, a movie called success when people will appreciate and producer gets back his money with some profit if not nig profit. And, Akki movies are very high cost coz of his price value, believe he is getting around 50 - 60 crores, so producers are paying him are not fool if they won't return back after movie releases. Today's date he is the highest paid actor, highest paid tax payer, highest successfull in number movies releases and diversified film production houses. You believe it or not, that is why he is getting paid. You should not blame if others are not getting.

majority is deprived of good movies...they don't even know what they r missing...but still we have had small budget good movies in recent times...also keep in mind that u can fool people with the gimmick once in a while but not always...

why do u think chandni chowk flopped despite having the stunt director of crouching tiger?...sanjay gadvi fooled people once with dhoom 2..but he got it back with superflop kidnap...sohum fooled people with kaal...but got back it back with Luck...
these filmmakers r not fools..they r lazy 2 think of original plots & right decent screenplays...& they r cunning businessmen who fool people...

Please get the fact..rather behave like an Opposition party
by surya das on Oct 17, 2009 06:38 PM  | Hide replies

I can say onething these guys who are either biased or like opposition in Parliament that whatever the ruling party brings the things on the table WE WILL OPPOSE.. and they are doing the exact same things here. 90% of them who says it is bakwas or waste of time, believe either they never watched or didn't get tickets or belongs other group (Opposition in Lok sabha). But, people are not fool like you guys, it has already proved in it's very firstday that other two films with equal big star casts are looking mole infront of Blue, and compare to the success rate, other two even can't stand from Sunday onwards. Please, don't bark here, better wait to your Gay movie comes and then shout.

Boxoffice shows 6.50 crore netts aprox (that means it is not exact), and at the same time they didn't include Tamil version which has bigger market share in south, and adding 25 lakhs from telugu it is not wrong if it has given aprox 10 crores nett, which is one of the biggest grossier ever, and keeping in mind along with BLUE there are two more movies released to share the screen space or else figure could have been much bigger. Now, get the fact and don't bark here. Everybody knows why few sections of media (except Taran Adarsh and Boxoffice India who are neutral) against Akki and his popularity, because they know he is the one and only threat to the rest..You must know about whom.. Now, cheers guys. Happy Deepavali to you all

box office success doesn't mean a movie is good & vice versa...the reviewer isn't saying it is a flop...it is pointing out the negatives & tht is correct...

if box office success is not success then what is it? And, for your information critics are biased but not the people. Majority people only supports if they like and accept or else not, no matter who are the star powers. And, you know about these so called critics and how they biased for most of the movies. So, no matter what ever these guys bark, it won't affect to Akki's success, he is always believes success lies on people's verdict. Everytime he stands stall.

u r again going back 2 the same point...read previous replies...& anyway u seem 2 have some kind of misconception that all critics try 2 pull Akki down...FYI ppl like bollyhungama & TOI has given rave reviews 2 it...

coming back 2 the original point...when u have humungous hype & the widest release ever (1200 prints)...with advanced bookings opening one week before release...u r definitely going 2 get a great opening..same happened with Kambaqt Ishq...got huge opening & made money...but not many actually liked it...

if money is ur only criteria for "success" then also i don't see it be coming much of a success...to recover 100 crores it'll have 2 sustain around a month or probably more...even the biggest hits don't do it nowadays...

& abt star power...yes thts what i hate abt bollywood...it's all looks & gloss...katrina is the biggest heroine with zilch acting & accented hindi...god save these fools...

If I am going back to same point then tell me why distributors sell 2200 prints for this movie because of star power, and it is all about business, if movie is not good then it won't survive from next day onwards cause of bad mouth from audience, same thing happened to CC2C, but Kambaqt Ishq is not as bad as you think that is why it run successfully so as other Akki movies, and again Blue will do the same despite of 2 big movies release to share it's business. So, now you need to know the fact of success.

Dont waste ur breath on SRK. The whole world knows he is just a print media star with precisely three and a half expressions. Don't insult Akki by comparing him with SRK. SRK will do just about anything to remain in the news.

Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision, the producers of BLUE, have reasons to rejoice. The film has fetched one of the biggest starts ever in the domestic market on Day 1, grossing a mammoth Rs. 16 crore [gross], which works out to approx. Rs. 10 crore [nett] on Friday. The collections are mind-boggling and the film is expected to have a humungous weekend, setting a new benchmark as far as weekend business goes.

Blue has grossed a very good 6.40 crore nett approx on day for its hindi version. The dubbed Telugu version has added a further 25 lakhs.

Blue had a super strong start yesterday but evening collections were a bit lower due to Diwali puja, Saturday may be a bit lower than Friday as it is Diwali but the film is expected to record its best collections on Sunday and Monday.

The film could have collected more if it was not for the competition. The other films provided no competition in terms of opening but did take away some screen space from Blue.

Guys.. forget this rubbish and paid review (you are rite DP). Blue is one of the best movies to have released this year. Akshay proves once again why he is one of the top stars in the industry today.
In short GO FOR BLUE.. Worth your ticket price and popcorn in black too ;)
