The movie does not even thrill a kid!!
by Harsha Matadhikari on Oct 17, 2009 10:11 PM

If this movie has become a hit its only because of curiosity of people and because of the fact that it has been released during Diwali Holidays. Otherwise it has so many flaws that it can be classified as a comedy not a thriller.

Zayed Khan destructs so many cars, a huge lorry and kills so many people in traffic accidents. Is 50000 $s worth that much??

People have gone to the depths of abyss discovering lost ships, is it such an impossible mission that the Lady in Blue which was lying in continental shelf remained unexplored for more than 50 years?

People really appreciate movies that are logical in their respective genre whether they are fictious/mythological/thriller/drama/comedy. Otherwise it becomes a farce.

I dont know till how long Indian directors believe that with only item numbers/star cast/and stunts people accept any crap.

Why I am Disgusted by Bollywood
by ramen das on Oct 17, 2009 08:52 PM  | Hide replies

Some people don't like it when Bollywood is criticized...they take it personally & feels a misplaced sense of patriotism...

I would request them to be a bit more patriotic & demand a bit more from the low IQ bollywood bosees...lack of exposure to other sources have made people satisfied with what they have...may be public denouncement can make bolly guys think a bit more & come up with something original & up to the mark...

Bollywood is a shame for world cinema

People who work like slaves dont get paid enough, people who get paid obscene amount fail to justify.
Its a sick Industry, only few people are ruling, Now corporate has entered in a big way using international funds, still they end up paying Big stars obscene amounts meanwhile technicians are struggling to meet their livelyhood.Govt should regulate these funds coming in, it will surly find out most of the black money being circulated by Indian businessmen and politicians. Sadly there is no other form of entertainment in this country other then cricket, thats y people have no choice but to watch these thrash, C grade remakes of hollywood greats. most of the producers baring few are useless for growth of Industry, all they want is fame and fortune at the expence of poor technicians. People who work in Film Industry will agree with me 100 %.

Worst movie I have seen
by Sameer Bhagwat on Oct 17, 2009 08:17 PM  | Hide replies

The stunts and action scenes are boring and might have been somewhat cool if it wasn't so obvious that stunt doubles were used. The storytelling and writing are juvenile. The first-half ends with just an introduction to characters and no storyline.A Kumar should RETIRE .. although his role is weakened by a poor script and characterisation, he has become pale and no longer a Star, looks more like a B Grade Actor. He wears an unnecessary frown with a pink suit and salt-and-pepper goatee. An out-of-shape Dutt is horribly miscast. He looks uncomfortable, particularly in pot-belly hugging diving suits. Shooting him in extreme close up does not cover up Zayed Khan's lack of acting talent. If you are looking for Kylie Minogue, you might just end up noticing the botox and bad make-up.

Over budget in current economy
by Atish Pawar on Oct 17, 2009 07:50 PM  | Hide replies

Guys, dont you feel in this movie the money they spent equals to 10 movies like 'A Wednesday' 'Mumbai Meri jaan' is it necessary to have these kind of expensive movies to be produced when there is recession going on also Video piracy...

When they want to promote any expensive movie they ask or begg to people to watch their movie, why dont they just do cost-cutting and then produce a good movie to watch.

yes friend, i also think so, else you see , last 2 movies of akki has all hollywood stars and all waste stories and Akki himself charges 50crorers a movie , dont you think instead of hiring Akki or any hollywood star they should work on good script or give some good message to public, I feel very bad when they beg for people not to watch pirated verision of movies, They really cared abt their movies they shud save money on their expenses and give discount on threatre tickets... what u say?

bollywood has always been about show off...& in fact while they spend money like anything on item songs & foreign locales, they r very reluctant 2 pay the writers...tht is why they lift from foreign films rather than paying a good writer...

the below movies you are telling how many of them got success? Not a single one except Kaminey (avg. hit) and Dev D was hit rest of them are big flops incl. Aamir. So, what will happen to those producers who spent money on it. So, a movie called success when people will appreciate and producer gets back his money with some profit if not nig profit. And, Akki movies are very high cost coz of his price value, believe he is getting around 50 - 60 crores, so producers are paying him are not fool if they won't return back after movie releases. Today's date he is the highest paid actor, highest paid tax payer, highest successfull in number movies releases and diversified film production houses. You believe it or not, that is why he is getting paid. You should not blame if others are not getting.

Mr. Surya Das, If you think he is getting paid becoz he is giving results in his movies , then why his last 2 movies has hollywood stars and why cant he perform like he was in Namaste London, Welcome -- I am also big fand of Akki but thing is he is overvalued by producers and him self. Why he choose such scripts or production which wtastes money in other department

u think CDI was a flop?...& i din't mention aamir (which was lifted from a filipino movie)...Mumbai Meri Jaan was a niche arthouse movie that indian family audience ignored...get ur facts right & at least read the comments carefully before replying...

anyway u asked about good movies & I names some that I thought were good...my definition of good is not limited 2 commercial success...

there is something called timelessness & influence...Black Friday went on 2 influence Boyle in SLumdog..no one would remember blue after one month...

Did u all watch movie? or coming here to give your comment just like an opposition party. If you see movie hits that means majority people like the movie, and it happens in most of Akki movies but biased critics they have sold their diginity and work for money to give -ve comments. But, people are great they are not fool like few are here, so they like and movie gets hit. Now, you tell how many movies in hindi in last 5 years are orginal storyline not copied or inspired from others, harldy few and these movies are good movies coz of low powerful star cast they went flop like Aamir, Dev D, Delhi Belli, Door, and many more.

Ok, how do you know Blue is not good cause this critics is saying so. If people like you start believing you then they only watch movies where critics give 3 or above points, and for your information these so called critics are sold by money and cheap publicity. If you go by critics I believe then you missed out 90% of bollywood movies? R u so? Hope so not.. then why did you go to watch movies? And I believe Sholay who had biased by critics all over , it went to history. I am not comparing anyone with this movie, but time will say and so far response from audience they rejected other two big movies, and it is heading towards a record like many Akki movies are, just you need to wait and watch. Did you find any movie apart from a few where 90-100% support a movie? Then you need to wait those 3-4 movies to watch then dump all these so called powerfull superstars coz you never find either of them are acting in those movies. And, for above thread I can say that if slumdon millionare would have been made by an Indian then you see the result, it would be a flop and nobody appreciate. Blackfriday went inspired Slumdog wow, who told you this? How does both are related by the way? Infact, Danny Boyle was here for an ad shooting where he interacted with these slum people then one of them he took to Goa for that add shoot and after then he was influence their living life and so on. So, now you get your fact correct.

I dont watch movie which does not require waste of money involved in production of any movie, You ask your self why will you watch movie Blue -- give me reason -- Becoz of Akki, becoz they spend 120crores, becoz akki charge 40-50 crore or becoz they have hollywood item girl performing chiggy and all songs... why dont you just understand they can produce a film in 10-50 crores if they have good script/ or talented cast and many things.... these people always invest hell lot of money in movie and then beg to peoplenot to use pirated CDs

Party hearties abandon driver to heart attack...

Three men holding key positions in one of India's biggest private sector companies were on their way to a party at their boss's swanky Cuffe Parade home, when driver Goverdhan Vaidya, who is in his mid fifties, suffered a cardiac arrest.

The men asked him to stop the car, which was at Cooperage, helped him out and sat him down on the pavement.

Then, they got back in the car and drove off to the party, leaving a breathless Vaidya holding his chest in excruciating pain.

read the full report on Midday and please join the cause to bring the three to book.
