Why this Hype?
by Hemant Visal on May 21, 2009 06:54 AM  | Hide replies

Why there should be a hype for all this? Only because actors from so called Slumdog were staying there. Whether anybody would have written a word had it been any other slum without the so called slumdog STARs staying there?
Another thing, do we think that these people are staying illegally for years by encroaching the lands. First they stay illegally and then demand free houses from government.
Anyone writing on this board will start speaking against a illegal house, zhopadpatti being built immediately next to his / her house. Whether anyone will accept this. NO. they will immediately start crying fowl over it. Then why just spend time wasting writing useless messages on the board.
And media don't have any other work. They have simply forgotten their own respnsibilities and are indulging in cheap news. The other day when the other slumdog kids home was raised, media was shown talking interest even when he was going to have a food. "Are ab khana kaega". Disgusting. Why not then show / report everything from whenever he goes for a urination to cleaning his A*S*S.

municipality left even nearby houses.this was an excersize to humiliate muzl1ms and tell them their real position in so called secular 1nd1a.
slums are still there will remain because of uneven distribution of wealth.only thieves &tax ch00rcan afford luxury houses while talented honest hard workers will remain the victim of these bl00d suckers.Muncipality wont even listen if you show them the proofs like ration cards of past 25 yrs electricity bills of past 25 yrs this is a ploy to vacate the land for builders recently builders built up a huge colony in Bandra west where price of real estate is quite high this was not a hutment but what we call Ground chawls (bheti chawls) in Mumbai and they are there practically evry where in the suburbs.

How is secularism involved in this? It is plain and simple money matters. Talking of money - what did the young lady did with the money she got from the ad she recently did? She has been making appearances - I am sure she is paid for them.

I really don't understand what's going on, but I do know that it has nothing with religion. Only people who want to create trouble in India talk about religion in this tone!

Did she lose any of her toys in the demolition? "I dropped my mobile phone when I rushed towards my house in a state of shock," Rubina says. "It's out of order now. I used to play games on it. Now, I don't know what I will play with."

this is what she said, she lost her toy :P

So what!
by BR on May 21, 2009 06:07 AM  | Hide replies

There is always another side to the story. There was that one article, but it is not that much in circualtion as th eheadling 'another slumdog milionaire house demolished'.

The slums keep coming up again and again. You think , by now Rubina does not have money enough to find a house somewhere? The problem is they do not know where to move., Why just slums, even middle class people do not know where to move oif their building gets evacuated or crashes down.

Unlike some haters, it is not Sonia who did this. Danny did not make the movie against Sonia or any politician. Bombay has to create mini-cities for residents. But the main problem is also people like Rubina's father. What does he do for livelihood. Suppose they get relocated to Virar, is that good for him, or will his whatever livelihood means get disrupted.

Rubina's home demolished
by Bodh Ramdeo on May 21, 2009 05:03 AM

Isn't there a fund set up by the British film producers for the welfare of Rubina and her co-stars? Why don't they use some of it for helping her get a home.
And forget about any help from a useless, heartless, uncaring and perversely indifferent govt run by criminals.

Elections are over. Why should govt care. All the govt cared was how to gain political vote mileage by encashing popularity of JAI HAO song of slum dog as govt made it their election campaign song.Govt gained a lot by emotionally striking at hearts of peoples using JAI HAO SONG for elections.Lets see what now Govt does to help these slums from where they gained political mileage.Every Indian is having eye on congress, what they do in return for benifit of slums as they gained political mileage from song of slumdog jai hao.

Rubina only is in news,I praise lord at least she is being noticed. There are thousands of such slums in every metro city. For sure they are illegal but, what every govt including congress has done?Nothing except encashing the popularity of songs of slum dog millionaire for their election campaign. Its high time for govt to wake up,and for millionaires like tata, birla, ambani to wake up and start some mission for helping poors in slums.I URGE GOVT TO TAKE STRICT ACTION AGAINST ITS OWN AUTHORITIES BECAUSE THIS IS TRUE THAT POORS ARR NOT SERVED ANY NOTICE IN ADVANCE MOST OF TIMES
DON'T GIVE THEM FLAT,NOT EVERYONE IN INDIA OWNS A FLAT,SOME FAMILIES SELL BACK FLAT AND MALES DRINK OUT OF THAT MONEY AND SHOFT BACK TO SLUMS, BUT,GIVE THEM WORK AND PROVIDE FREE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION ENOUGH THAT THEY CAN SUPPORT THEMSELVES,OPEN GOVT QUATERS AT MINIMAL RENT FOR POORS OF SLUMS.
