Athadu has fantastic music and dances. The hero, heroine and all the others gave beautiful performances. It has lots of regional flavour. Can u make a roti out of a delicious dosa?

A powerfull peformance of Boby Deol, he is look very fit in this type of roles, i agree with you. people need to watch the movie and decide.
dude, i think it is waste to discuss abt all. Telugu n tamil movies may be hit for their audience but always proved boring and flopped for the national audience specially hindi audience. One or two may be an exceptions.

True Telgo and thamil movies are mostly action oriented and do not make much sense - but not entire south Indian movies are like that - Malayalam movies ifrom 90's to 2000 were excellent - especially mohanlal movies

vulgarity exists in all language movies. In Bollywood also.. But South Indian films have too much action. If there is No action in movies then its a flop in south india

Bollywood used to have action movies in the 90s but lost track somewhere along the line. Since the Chopras and Johars rule the roost in Bollywood it is hardly surprising. These guys are busy etching out effeminate characters and gay jokes and have found success in cultivating the mindset of moviegoers according to theirs. In the south, however, bloody violent action movies have a cult following and most of highest grossing movies are from that genre. Action heroes have millions of fans down south and their movies are greeted with huge enthusiasm.

i think its a endless debate......but one think i urge Mr. Praveen.......kindly don't compare ur movies with Bollywood coz looks funny...........Right?

No Mr.Sachin Guha. No comparisons. I was simply analyzing. But Bollywood's biggest ever grosser 'Ghajini' was remade from Tamil, though the basic premise was one of 'Memento'. Success of 'Ghajini's magnitude might be a one-time affair, but still there is a scope for action movies to be remade to Hindi from four South Indian languages.

In hindi movies only belongs to the fantasy catagery nothing else except few.Atleast south indian movies has some basic story plot even in action movies.all superstars in hindi are just started and existing as a action heroes except aamir.

These guys has been etching out effeminate characters and gay jokes and over the years have found success in cultivating the mindset of moviegoers according to theirs. So most Bollywood movies in the past decade or so has been catering to women and gays in particular. The advent of the multiplexes further enhanced this process and a section of the media ended up with the conclusion that action and violence wont work in Bollywood. In the south, however, bloody violent action movies have a cult following and most of highest grossing movies are from that genre. Action heroes have millions of fans down south and their movies are greeted with huge enthusiasm.

Not only actions are made in South but also useless and unrealistik action. huf

Athadu is not an blam-splatter bang-ouch kind of action movie.the storyline looks like that.but what it showcases is completely different.it is a complete entertainer.in this movie a family mistakens the hero as their relative and accepts him.but later the hero realises that he missed lot of love and affection all these days and turns out to be a god man from a brutal professional killer.now you think this is unrealistic.and in this movie the hero could beat up few rowdies because he is fully trained.is this unreal.

Tumko na bhool payenge had nothing to do with Assassins. It was inspired from cult Long Kiss Friday (Geena Davis, Sam Jackson)
patcy looks like she can do with a 70's style thrashing... and as for remake from that gay idiot to this b-itchy critic every1 is saying rajesh khanna starrer dushmani but it is a plot taken from roti...

where is my husband raja sen ..he(assuming he is man) did not come home
Telugu movie Athadu was a adapted remake of salman khan's hindi movie 'Tumko bhula na paayenge'.. Now it is weird that the same movie is remade again in Hindi.
Can't a movie be reviewed just based on performances, technical & production values, quality of plot, dialogues, etc without giving away the entire story.

a single word answer is YES, I remember having read the review of RACE in this very site subscribing to the conditions laid out by u.
I was damn sure after the release of Chamku that it will be disastrous at box office. I was anxiously waiting for the Headlines today review and what I got to from reporter is "He went to a theater in Mumbai to interview the audience in the morning show but because thr were less then 7 people who purchased tickets the theater management decided not to showcase the movie and the reporter has to wait till the matney show to interview people and thr were hardly 20 people who bought the tickets....

Bobby deol is a spent force, Chamku, Ek, any move with him will go down the drains.
