It is a British film and British films always win Oscars every year...so stop pretending this was an Indian movie which won an Oscar...it was set in India like so many other Oscar winning British movies --- Gandhi, Gunga Din, A Passage to India..to name a few. The Brits always get to the Oscars every year and this year they took India along.
Once again, we dumb Indians rejoice in the fact that Brits made a movie on us and got the oscars. Are we dumb or really dumb? Guess we are still enslaved by the Brits.
Dog-gone right, I'll be dog if that sweet lady Freida didn't make those fans in America howl like wolves and yap like puppies. And those producers & directors are drooling like mutts. She is such a fox! Oops, didn't mean to insult India.
Future of Indias film indutry is in shifting to English, to be global in nature.
Indian professionals, scietists and thinkers have succeeded asnd recognised when they started doing their bwork and expressing their talent in a globally recognised language, that is english. Indian film industry has to come out of the its over dependence of hindi and regional languages and has to shift to English to be global, for more exposure, for survival and to show case its originality, before outsiders export their products for our large englsh enabled audience. English is the language which has won the battle of dominance in world and when we adopt it we too are part of that. Otherwise bollywood will face the fate of Spanish, French, German or rabic language movies. English is the common language for Indians and it is foreighn language to every Indian, love it, marry it, reproduce it and make it your own to succeed.
English is the global medium of communication for the new millenium. make it yours, Bollywood, then surive and succeed. Make Indiam movies with Indian stories, Indian stars, Indian settings, Indian songs, Indian technology in Indian English. This is the way to go, get recognised and to success.
The same game when they play with their families and sexual lives then it is called "sandwitch" I suppose. On one side they are trying to win the heart of minority groups in India and on the other hand they are supporting and participating in torturing innocent small children of Iraq and Afganistan. Instead of respecting India for its greatness that it has sheltered so many refugees from Iraq and Afgan who were victimized in war by cruel British armies sent at the frontire by Tonny Blaire,they are showing others India in a bad shape ?? Actually they are jelous to India and China for both are progressing and are not insulting others religion,that's why the problem is. We should know that these Britishers are playing politics all over world against Indian students. Such a mean minded race deserves hell in their next birth. We are not so selfish and inhumen or subhumen unlike Britishers that we will occupy most of the world's land area by using arsenals on innocent native population. Hitlar was the man who treated them correctly. We should prey more and more people like him in future. These Indians are always behaving like dog since our freedom nights. On direction of Nehruji and Gandhi baba,they gave hand to British army and faught against Ajad Hind Fowz. Now they are doing the same mistakes again. May Devil only save this country.
