Shakti Samanta was one of the most successful and finest filmmakers of the Hindi Film Industry. Can anyone forget An Evening in Paris, which was the biggest blockbuster of 1967 and popular for its exotic locales and electrifying songs? He had a penchant for good music which was evident in all his movies.

Billu Plumber and SRK are paakistani, there movies will be soon banned in INDIA. SRK will be kiccked on his azz 1000000000 time till he run away to paaakistan with his paakistani fans like Billu plumber. ALL SRK MOVIES are real SHHHIT, If you don't beleive then watch any of his recent movies like Billu or Rab Ne bana de jodi, you will hang yourself after watching SRK's torture.
Shaktida was a fine and sensitive director who made entertaining films that have left a pleasant impression in the minds and hearts of millions of movie goers. I wish rediff had prepared a more fitting tribute instead of reporting the news of his death with an attitude of indifference.
Hats off to the great Film maker of the Indian Cinema. May his soul rset in peace. May be the coming generation is not aware about him, but is alive in out hearts through his films & songs.
Tell you something? Sometimes, I feel like watching some old movie. And often I watched CD of the movie directed by Shakti Samanta.:) May his soul rest in peace.
Destined it may be, but those who were mesmerized by the emotional hangover of Aradhana, Kati patang, Amar prem and very little mentioned Anuraag, must have felt a shocking pang of misssing something forever on the death of Mr.Samantha.
Seeing people crying on his death, Shaktida would have mentioned just a line from one of Shaktida's movie Amar Prem.... Yeh to duniya ki reet hai re... In aasunonko poanch do... I hate tears... Shaktida, you will remain forever in our hearts. May your soul rest in peace.
